Full Job Description

About the role

Saige is hiring a Director to lead our Databricks practice, with primary focus on partner-led growth and enterprise sales capture. This leader will build a scalable Databricks services motion, deepen our relationship with Databricks field and partner teams, and drive bookings through co-sell and partner program pathways. The role combines alliance leadership, repeatable offer development, and executive sponsorship of early delivery to enable land-and-expand growth.

What you will do

Alliance and partner program leadership

Own the Saige–Databricks partnership strategy, including partner program alignment, enablement, certifications, and joint GTM planning.
Run a consistent co-sell operating rhythm: account mapping, joint pipeline reviews, deal registration support, and coordination with Databricks field teams.
Develop joint POVs and packaged plays aligned to Databricks priorities and Saige differentiators.

Sales capture and solution shaping

Carry bookings targets for Databricks-related services; build pipeline through partner-sourced and co-sell motions.
Lead pursuits end-to-end: qualification, discovery, architecture and roadmap, proposal/orals, pricing, negotiation, and close.
Shape offerings and programs across lakehouse modernization, data engineering, governance, analytics, ML/AI, and GenAI on Databricks.
Translate platform capabilities into business outcomes and measurable success metrics for clients.

Practice building and delivery standards

Package repeatable offers with standardized sales assets (decks, case examples, SOW templates, accelerators) to improve win rate and speed-to-proposal.
Establish reference architectures and delivery standards; ensure early projects are staffed and executed to create expansion pathways.
Build and develop talent aligned to the practice (solution architects, data engineers, ML engineers) in partnership with firm leadership.

Client leadership and growth

Serve as executive sponsor for key Databricks accounts; ensure delivery quality, client satisfaction, and expansion planning.
Partner with vertical leads to embed Databricks offerings into industry-specific solutions.

Required qualifications

10+ years in consulting/professional services with a proven record selling and delivering data/AI platform programs.
Direct experience with the Databricks partner ecosystem and co-sell motions; strong understanding of partner program expectations.
Strong grasp of modern data platform architecture, governance, and AI/ML delivery on cloud.
Demonstrated ability to generate and convert partner-sourced pipeline into bookings.
Executive presence with CIO/CTO, CDO, VP Data/AI, and platform engineering leaders.

Preferred qualifications

Experience creating marketplace-oriented offers, joint demand generation, and multi-partner pursuits (Databricks + hyperscaler + ISV).
Familiarity with adjacent tooling ecosystems (ingestion, orchestration, BI, catalog/governance, MLOps) and integration patterns.
Track record building a practice: offers, enablement, hiring plan, delivery economics, and margin management.

Success measures (first 12 months)

Achieve agreed Databricks-influenced bookings and partner-sourced pipeline targets, with defined coverage ratios.
Launch 2–4 repeatable Databricks offerings with packaged assets and delivery playbooks.
Improve partnership standing through joint wins, field engagement, and increased practice readiness (certifications, enablement).
Deliver referenceable early projects that reliably convert into expansion.
