Full Job Description

The website agency New Theory is seeking a Washington State-based Project Manager to join our delivery team. This strategic position is crucial for the success of the new business and delivery pipeline for the agency. Reporting directly to the Senior Project Manager, this delivery-oriented role is accountable for their clients’ experience as well as the production quality of the website design/development projects they oversee. Further, this role is key in developing the long-term partnerships we seek to establish with all of our clients.

Project Managers are provided a unique level of autonomy in client solution design and management. This high level of service engagement requires candidates with a strong sense of self-direction. They must seek all necessary information about measurable outcomes and then collaboratively guide the internal teams to meet documented expectations. This Project Manager will bring the technical team members together to translate client requests into our internal project management tools for predictable, measurable results.

A Project Manager's day-to-day activities vary at New Theory. They include preparing for client kickoff meetings, sprint planning, attending daily check-ins, taking notes in client meetings, building and automating budget reports, collaborating with the team, reviewing design prototypes, reviewing completed functionality, and more. A successful candidate will be able to work in strategy and detail with equal strength.

Communication, teamwork, ownership, organization, resourcefulness, humor, and generosity are all key to being a successful New Theory Project Manager.

Job duties include:

Accountable for your client’s timelines and budget
Accountable for the successful completion, quality, and resolution of all client requests
Responsible for the overall relationship between the agency and your clients, including supervising communications between your team and the client
Accountable for all client communications being timely, proactive, and professional
Regular communication with clients, such as responding to inquiries, running of client meetings, and working with the internal team to find answers for client questions
Seek out opportunities to provide new services and solutions to clients

Requirements for this role are:

Self-motivated and driver of project and client-oriented work
4+ years of client and/or project management experience
Ability to project, plan and meet complex internal and client deadlines with ease
Ability to multi-task and support multiple projects at one time
Experience with project management tools like Jira and TeamWork is a plus
Experience in CMS or e-commerce platforms like WordPress, Shopify, and Magento is a plus
Past experience with a web-focused agency is preferred but not required
PMP Certification is a plus, but not required, as is familiarity with Agile methodologies

This is an hourly, remote position. Pay: $40.00 - $48.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 per week
