Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Paid Training Real Estate Appraiser Trainee and embark on an exciting career path in property valuation and market analysis! This entry-level role offers comprehensive training to develop your skills in residential property appraisal, property tax assessment, and real estate market evaluation. You will gain hands-on experience in data collection, financial analysis, and report preparation while working alongside seasoned professionals. This position is perfect for motivated individuals eager to build a strong foundation in real estate appraisal with full compensation from day one.

Duties

Assist in collecting property data, including legal descriptions, physical characteristics, and market information for residential and commercial properties
Support the appraisal review process by analyzing property values and ensuring compliance with fair housing regulations and legal standards
Conduct quantitative research and data analysis to support accurate property valuation and market trend assessments
Prepare detailed appraisal reports, including financial summaries, property descriptions, and valuation conclusions
Utilize Microsoft Office tools such as spreadsheets and word processing software to organize data and draft reports
Participate in property inspections, gathering information on construction quality, condition, and improvements
Collaborate with team members to analyze real estate market conditions and contribute to property tax assessments and LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) evaluations

Qualifications

Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial concepts, and data analysis techniques
Experience or familiarity with construction processes, building materials, or related fields is a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel spreadsheets for data management and analysis
Knowledge of residential and commercial property appraisal methods and real estate market analysis
Ability to interpret legal descriptions and understand property tax assessment procedures
Excellent math skills with attention to detail for accurate data collection and valuation calculations
Effective communication skills for client interactions and report writing
Prior experience or coursework in real estate appraisal, GIS (Geographic Information Systems), or tax assessment is advantageous
Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development in real estate valuation practices
