Full Job Description

About the role

We operate a growing portfolio of hotels — and we believe the next great hospitality company will be built on data, not just real estate. We're hiring our first dedicated analyst to own market intelligence across the portfolio: who's coming to our markets, why, when, and how we capture that demand before anyone else does.

This is a founding seat. You'll start by driving prospecting, benchmarking, and demand analysis for our hotels. Over time, you'll help us build something bigger: a living intelligence platform that knows everything happening in our markets — past, present, and future — and that could become a product in its own right.

What you'll do

- Build and maintain a forward-looking demand calendar for every market we operate in: conferences, sports, concerts, festivals, citywides, corporate travel patterns, university events

- Analyze historical performance against past events to find the patterns — what moved rate, what filled rooms, what we missed

- Benchmark our hotels against comp sets (STR/CoStar data, rate shopping, market share) and flag where we're winning or leaking share

- Identify and qualify group, corporate, and event-driven business prospects; arm our sales and revenue teams with target lists and timing

- Automate the boring parts: write scripts and pipelines (SQL/Python) to pull event data, rates, and market signals instead of copy-pasting them

- Lay the data foundation for our market intelligence platform — schemas, sources, and tooling that scale beyond spreadsheets

What we're looking for

- 1-3 years in analytics, revenue management, consulting, BizOps, or similar — hospitality experience is a plus, not a requirement

- Working SQL and at least scrappy Python (pandas, basic scraping/APIs); strong Excel goes without saying

- Comfort turning messy, scattered data into a clear answer and a recommendation

- Curiosity bordering on obsession — you're the person who already knows what's happening in town next month

- Self-directed; you'll be the first person in this function and will define how it works

- Strong written communication — your analysis only matters if people act on it

Nice to have

- Experience with STR reports, rate shopping tools, or hotel PMS/RMS data

- BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Hex)

- Web scraping or event-data APIs (PredictHQ, Ticketmaster, etc.)
