Sales & Business Development Manager, West Coast U.S. (Remote)

Nitta Gelatin, a global leader in gelatin and collagen peptide manufacturing, is seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales & Business Development Manager to accelerate growth across the West Coast region of the United States. This remote position offers flexibility in location, with candidates residing in the West Coast U.S. strongly preferred.

Position Summary

The Sales & Business Development Manager is responsible for driving profitable sales growth and developing strategic customer relationships throughout the West Coast territory. This role serves as the primary liaison between customers and Nitta Gelatin's internal teams, ensuring a seamless customer experience from product development and technical support through order fulfillment and ongoing account management.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record in ingredient sales, strong business development skills, and the ability to build relationships with key decision-makers across purchasing, R&D, quality assurance, operations, and executive leadership. This individual will play a critical role in expanding market presence, identifying new business opportunities, and delivering customer-focused solutions that contribute to long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities

Drive profitable growth by achieving territory sales, volume, and profitability objectives.
Develop and execute strategic account plans to grow existing business and secure new customers.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders across multiple functions.
Identify new market opportunities and collaborate with internal teams to develop innovative solutions.
Partner with R&D and technical teams to support new product development and customer initiatives.
Lead customer negotiations, pricing discussions, contracts, forecasts, and supply agreements.
Maintain an active sales pipeline and develop business opportunities aligned with company growth targets.
Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and industry developments to support strategic planning.
Manage CRM records, forecasting, reporting, and account documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
Participate in industry associations, trade shows, and networking events to increase market visibility and generate leads.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Service, Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, Technical, and Management teams to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.
Ensure compliance with all applicable food safety and company policies.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Compensation

Base Salary: Starting at $120,000+, depending on experience
Annual Bonus Opportunity: Up to $30,000 based on individual performance and business results
