Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Workers' Compensation Supervisor with licenses in Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi to lead claims management operations across the Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi regions. This pivotal role involves overseeing the entire workers' compensation claims process, ensuring compliance with insurance regulations, and delivering exceptional service to employees and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in insurance law, claims negotiation, risk analysis, and have a comprehensive understanding of commercial insurance policies. This energetic leadership position offers an exciting opportunity to influence claims outcomes positively while fostering a collaborative team environment dedicated to excellence.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate the workers' compensation claims team, ensuring efficient handling of all claims from initiation to resolution.
Oversee the review and interpretation of insurance policies, ensuring accurate application of coverage and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Lead negotiations on complex liability insurance claims, striving for fair settlements that balance client interests and risk management objectives.
Conduct thorough risk analysis on high-value claims, utilizing auto estimating, medical documentation review, and property inspection insights to inform decision-making.
Implement fraud prevention and detection strategies to identify suspicious claims activities proactively.
Collaborate with legal teams on insurance claims litigation and property or casualty insurance disputes to achieve favorable outcomes.
Maintain detailed records of claim activities using advanced financial software and ensure adherence to insurance regulation standards.
Provide training and mentorship to team members on best practices in claims adjusting, policy interpretation, and regulatory compliance.
Manage relationships with external vendors such as auto body repair shops, water damage restoration specialists, medical providers, and auto service management partners to facilitate seamless claims processing.
Ensure all claims handling aligns with industry standards for high-value insurance claims processing, medical coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding, and water damage remediation procedures.

Experience

Proven experience managing workers' compensation claims within a commercial insurance environment, with a strong understanding of workers' compensation law across multiple jurisdictions (AR, LA, MS).
Demonstrated expertise in liability insurance claims processing, casualty insurance experience, and handling complex property or auto restoration claims.
Skilled in negotiation tactics, policy interpretation, risk management strategies, and regulatory compliance in insurance claims processing.
Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records review, Medicare regulations related to workers’ compensation cases, and medical billing procedures.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to lead teams effectively while managing multiple high-value cases simultaneously.
Experience utilizing Microsoft Office suite for documentation and reporting purposes; proficiency in financial software is preferred.
Knowledge of construction inspection processes, mold remediation procedures, auto service management practices, and automotive repair is advantageous.
Excellent analysis skills combined with a proactive approach to fraud detection and prevention in workers’ compensation scenarios.
