Job Overview
Stone Arc Consulting, LLC is seeking an experienced digital accessibility partner to support a Digital Accessibility Program Services opportunity.

Stone Arc is seeking an experienced accessibility partner that can provide certified technical expertise in Section 508 compliance, accessibility testing, remediation, and accessibility consulting.

This request is intended to identify a long-term strategic partner for this opportunity and future federal accessibility programs.

Responsibilities

Serveaas the lead technical authority for digital accessibility while integrating seamlessly with Stone Arc's program management office.
Section 508 compliance assessments
WCAG 2.2 AA compliance testing
Digital accessibility strategyDevelop and implement comprehensive accessibility testing strategies aligned with Section 508 standards and best practices.
Lead the design and execution of manual and automated accessibility tests using tools such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, and other test automation frameworks.
Collaborate with developers, designers, and product managers to integrate accessibility requirements into the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and DevOps pipelines.
Conduct detailed root cause analysis for accessibility issues identified during testing phases, ensuring timely resolution.
Utilize scripting languages like Python, JavaScript, and Bash for automation scripts that validate accessibility compliance across various platforms including web, Android, iOS, and mobile applications.
Perform user acceptance testing (UAT) with diverse user groups to validate real-world accessibility performance.
Maintain detailed documentation of test cases, defect tracking using tools such as Jira or HP ALM, and compliance reports for audit purposes.
Stay current on evolving accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1/2.2), industry trends, and emerging technologies like APIs, SOAP/REST web services, and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.Requirements
Proven experience leading accessibility initiatives within an IT environment with a strong understanding of Section 508 compliance requirements.
Extensive knowledge of software testing methodologies including functional testing, system testing, performance testing (LoadRunner), regression testing, and QA/QC processes.
Hands-on experience with test automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, and scripting languages like Python or JavaScript.
Familiarity with mobile testing frameworks for Android and iOS applications using tools like Appium or similar platforms.
Strong technical skills in APIs (RESTful API/web services), SQL databases (MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server), PL/SQL scripting, JDBC connectivity, and version control systems such as GitHub or GitLab.
Knowledge of SDLC models including Agile/Scrum and Waterfall methodologies; experience integrating QA processes into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
Ability to perform detailed data analysis skills for troubleshooting issues related to system performance or accessibility failures.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis and debugging complex technical issues.
Effective communication skills to articulate technical findings clearly to both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
Prior experience in software quality assurance within enterprise environments involving.NET frameworks, MVC architecture, Web services (SOAP/REST), HTML/CSS/JavaScript UI development is highly desirable.
