Non-Profit Audit Senior

Remote Non-Profit Audit Senior

Position Overview
The Non-Profit Audit Senior will play a crucial role in providing audit services to our non-profit clients. This position is responsible for leading audit engagements, ensuring compliance with regulations, and delivering high-quality service while mentoring junior staff.

Key Responsibilities

Lead audit engagements for non-profit organizations, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
Review and evaluate internal controls and make recommendations for improvements.
Prepare and present detailed audit reports to clients, outlining findings and recommendations.
Manage multiple audit projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and client expectations are exceeded.
Mentor and train junior audit staff, providing guidance on technical and professional development.
Stay updated on accounting standards and regulations affecting non-profits, including ERISA and employee benefit plans.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in audit, with a focus on non-profit organizations preferred.
Strong knowledge of audit procedures, regulations, and compliance requirements for non-profits.
Experience with employee benefit plans (EBP) and ERISA regulations is a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients and team members.
