Senior Bookkeeper | Part-Time Contractor | Remote

The Role

We're looking for an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join our growing team. In this role, you'll be the primary point of contact for a portfolio of 10–15 clients, owning the client relationship from start to finish. You'll review junior bookkeeper work, publish monthly financial reports, onboard new clients, and build the processes that keep our firm running smoothly.

This is a part-time contractor role (~20 hours/week) with completely flexible hours - no set schedule required. You just need to get your work done during the business hours your clients operate in.

What You'll Do

Review junior bookkeeper monthly work for accuracy and completeness
Publish monthly financial reports for clients
Perform clean-ups and catch-ups for new clients coming on board
Write clear, handoff-ready processes for new clients so work can be transitioned to junior bookkeepers
Serve as the primary point of contact for your client portfolio
Communicate with clients in a way that honors their business vision and mission
Report directly to the CEO

Must-Have Qualifications

5+ years of bookkeeping experience
US-based (non-negotiable)
Does NOT own their own bookkeeping business
Proficient in: QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, Xero, Double (formerly Keeper), Slack, ClickUp, Fathom Reporting, Reach Reporting, Gusto, Google Suite
At least one of the following: QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor, or Certified Bookkeeper (CB)
Must be available for a skills assessment as part of the hiring process
Background check
