Position Overview
The Senior Systems Engineer / Level 3 Generalist serves as the highest level of technical escalation within Wolff Logics and plays a critical role in delivering advanced technical solutions, strategic guidance, and exceptional client experiences.
This position is responsible for architecting, implementing, securing, and optimizing Microsoft 365, Azure, cybersecurity, networking, infrastructure, and business continuity solutions across multiple client environments.
The ideal candidate possesses deep technical expertise, strong communication skills, a consultative mindset, and the ability to independently lead projects while mentoring junior engineers.
This is a highly client-facing role requiring both technical excellence and professional business communication.
Key Responsibilities
Advanced Escalation Support & Technical Leadership
· Serve as the final escalation point for complex technical issues across multiple client environments.
· Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term remediation strategies.
· Lead troubleshooting efforts involving Microsoft 365, Azure, networking, infrastructure, and cybersecurity technologies.
· Assist in security incident response and remediation efforts.
· Develop technical standards, best practices, and operational procedures.
· Mentor Tier 1 and Tier 2 engineers while contributing to internal knowledge-sharing initiatives.
· Provide technical leadership during critical client-impacting incidents.
Microsoft 365 & Modern Workplace Solutions
Architect, deploy, optimize, secure, and support Microsoft 365 environments including:

· Design and support Microsoft Azure environments.
· Deploy and manage Azure Virtual Machines.
· Configure Azure networking, VPNs, and connectivity solutions.
· Implement Azure Backup and Azure Site Recovery solutions.
· Support Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) deployments.
· Assist clients with cloud modernization initiatives.
· Design and implement scalable, secure cloud architectures.
Cybersecurity & Compliance
· Implement and maintain cybersecurity best practices across client environments.
· Design security baselines and standards for Microsoft 365 and Azure.
· Deploy and manage Microsoft Defender solutions.
· Conduct security assessments and remediation planning.
· Support vulnerability management programs.
· Assist clients with cyber insurance compliance requirements.
· Implement controls aligned with:

· Participate in security investigations and incident response activities.

MSP Operations & Service Delivery
· Utilize ConnectWise Manage for service delivery, project management, documentation, and client communication.
· Support and manage:
- Connectwise Continuum RMM
- N-Able
- Other enterprise monitoring solutions
· Maintain documentation standards using IT Glue.
· Manage Microsoft licensing through CSP programs and distribution partners including Pax8.
· Coordinate vendor escalations and third-party support relationships.
· Ensure client environments align with operational standards and security best practices.
· Manage multiple client environments simultaneously while maintaining exceptional customer service.
Projects, Automation & Optimization
· Lead infrastructure, cloud, and security projects from planning through completion.
· Develop PowerShell automation for Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, and administrative processes.
· Identify opportunities for operational efficiency and automation.
· Optimize environments for performance, security, scalability, and cost control.
· Create repeatable deployment processes and technical standards.
· Recommend long-term strategic improvements to clients and internal teams.
· Stay current with emerging technologies, cybersecurity threats, and Microsoft platform enhancements.
Backup & Disaster Recovery
· Design and maintain Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCDR) strategies.
· Implement backup solutions and recovery testing procedures.
· Conduct disaster recovery planning and documentation reviews.
· Validate backup integrity and recovery objectives.
· Assist clients with risk mitigation and operational resilience planning.
Client Consulting & Technical Presales
· Participate in client strategy meetings and technology roadmap discussions.
· Perform technical assessments and discovery engagements.
· Assist with project scoping, solution design, and technical proposals.
· Present technical recommendations to business stakeholders.
· Provide trusted advisor-level guidance to clients.
· Align technology investments with business objectives, security requirements, and budget considerations.
Required Qualifications
Experience
· Minimum 7 years of experience in an MSP environment.
· Minimum 5 years supporting Microsoft 365 environments.
· Minimum 3 years supporting Microsoft Azure.
· Proven experience supporting organizations ranging from 50–500 users.
· Experience managing multiple client environments simultaneously.
· Experience leading complex migrations and infrastructure projects.
· Experience participating in technical presales and solution design engagements.
