Job Description

Job Title: Corporate Travel Consultant
Department: Corporate
Reports To: Corporate Managers
FLSA Status: Nonexempt

Summary

The Corporate Travel Consultant fulfills corporate travel customers' requests for airline ticketing, hotel accommodations, and car rentals, ensuring maximum profitability for both the client and TravelStore. The role provides exceptional customer service through effective communication of travel-related information and adherence to company standards and principles of remarkable customer service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Travel Request Management: Receives and prioritizes travel requests.
Travel Consultation: Confers with travelers to determine destination, mode of transportation, travel dates, necessary accommodations, and budget for both domestic and international business travel.
Rate Analysis: Analyzes and evaluates commercial rates, lowest logical airfare, times, routings, and appropriate car rentals using published and computer sources.
Reservations and Ticketing: Books reservations for air travel, hotels, and car rentals, and accurately prints air tickets.
Customer Support: Acts as a general resource for travelers, researching problems and resolving issues.
Policy Adherence: Promotes acceptance of fares, rates, and suppliers that match the client's travel program policies and negotiated contracts and applies discount programs appropriately.
Supplier Promotion: Moves market share and promotes TravelStore's preferred suppliers.
Regulation Awareness: Stays informed of all airline rules, regulations, and current affairs, and communicates information accurately to clients.
Client Profile Management: Builds and maintains client profiles, ensuring special requests and reward program information are included.
Quality Control: Monitors, sorts, and works GDS queues continually throughout the day.
Client Relations: Maintains and promotes professional and courteous client relations with prompt and accurate responses to phone and email communications.
International Travel Information: Provides travelers with information on passport, visa, and inoculation requirements, customs regulations, and currency exchange rates.
Team Support: Provides back-up support to co-workers and associates as assigned.
Additional Duties: Performs other duties and responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

Experience: 2-4+ years of corporate travel consultant experience.
Education: Graduate of an accredited travel school is desired if no experience.
Knowledge: Familiarity with ticketing procedures for airline, hotel, and car rental systems. Basic knowledge of management reports.

Scripts
Booking Builder
QC Systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook365

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

CTC, CTA preferred.
