Pillar Two Tax Compliance Consultant (Contract)
Location: Greater Denver Area (Remote)
Type: Contract / Hourly
Pay Rate: $75–$85 per hour
Start Date: Immediate
Duration: Through June (with potential to extend)

About the Company
Our client, a publicly traded manufacturing company with a global footprint across 18 countries, is seeking a Pillar Two Tax Compliance Consultant, to assist with their complex international tax environment, supported by a lean, highly collaborative International Tax team. The company is currently undergoing an IRS audit and is simultaneously preparing for initial OECD Pillar Two (Global Minimum Tax) compliance and reporting, with key filings due in June.

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Pillar Two Tax Compliance Consultant to provide hands-on support during a critical compliance and reporting period. This role will focus on assisting the International Tax team with Pillar Two readiness, data validation, calculations, documentation, and coordination with external advisors, while operating in parallel with an active IRS audit.
This is a highly visible role requiring strong technical expertise, the ability to work independently, and comfort operating in a fast-paced, evolving regulatory environment.

Key Responsibilities

Support OECD Pillar Two (Global Anti-Base Erosion / GloBE) compliance efforts, including preparation for June reporting deadlines.
Assist with GloBE income, covered taxes, ETR calculations, and jurisdictional analyses across 18 countries.
Partner with internal stakeholders to gather, validate, and normalize global tax and financial data.
Review and support development of Pillar Two models, workpapers, and documentation.
Coordinate with external advisors and auditors on Pillar Two technical interpretations and compliance deliverables.
Support the International Tax team during an ongoing IRS audit, including data analysis and audit-ready documentation.
Help identify process improvements and pragmatic solutions appropriate for a lean tax organization.
Track evolving Pillar Two guidance and flag potential impacts to the company’s filings or positions.
Ensure compliance work is aligned with public company standards, internal controls, and documentation requirements.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in International Tax, with direct exposure to OECD Pillar Two / GloBE rules.
Hands-on experience with Pillar Two readiness, modeling, or compliance reporting strongly preferred.
Public company experience and familiarity with audit environments (IRS or Big Four).
Background in manufacturing or multinational environments with complex global structures is a plus.
Strong understanding of global ETR calculations, deferred tax concepts, and cross-border tax issues.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating closely with a small team.
Advanced Excel skills; experience with tax provision or Pillar Two software tools is a plus.
Excellent communication skills and comfort working cross-functionally and across time zones.
