Outside Sales Representative

Full Time

Growing Wireless Company is seeking a candidate for an outside sales position to grow national opportunities for our wireless equipment distribution company.

It is essential that you have the desire and ability to learn in order to be successful at this job. Candidates will be promoting all types of Wireless telecom equipment in categories such as Line & Antenna, DAS/Small Cell, Steel products, Electrical, Consumables and more. The focus of this position will be to drive new business relationships, generate increased sales, and explore client development initiatives.

We are seeking someone to drive sales of equipment as well as our services in order to benefit all facets of the company. This person will promote our equipment capabilities and drive business with mobile operators, carriers, ISP's and General Contractors. In addition, they will manage the account alongside the Inside Sales Representative and the Director of Sales. This position will develop and target contact list for potential growth opportunities.

You will be required to seek out and gather details of client equipment needs and coordinate fulfillment activities. You will be expected to aggressively and effectively represent the company as a value- added company. The successful candidate will need to clearly understand the marketplace and how to exploit available resources to present solutions as a means to secure new opportunities. In addition, you will work closely with the Senior Account Manager to ensure that shared goals are reached.

Development of new business alliances with prospective customers, vendors and partnering companies will be critical for this role.

You will be expected to make up to 100 calls a day, this is a job where persistence and hard work will lead to sales. Must be comfortable cold calling, most leads are warm leads and requires cold calling and there after maintenance on the account

Responsibilities:

Generate leads and identify new business opportunities within your sales territory
Make 50+ calls/day to cold and warm prospects
Meet face-to-face with clients to understand their needs and present solutions
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to drive repeat business and referrals
Stay up to date on industry trends, new technologies, and competitor offerings
Work closely with the inside sales team to deliver quotes and solutions
Meet/exceed sales targets and report on progress
Travel within your territory (~25%) to meet clients and prospects
· Maximize company exposure to the marketplace through Trade Shows, Meetings, and Seminars
· Familiarity with major equipment manufacturers such as Nokia, Viavi, Anritsu, CommScope, Ericsson and other Test equipment and wireless manufacturers
· Relationships with Wireless Contractors, Turf vendors, and carriers, is a plus

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's Degree in a Business or Communications field is required
· Experience in telecommunications sales and networking solutions is a plus
5+ years of B2B sales experience, ideally with a focus on telecom or wireless equipment
Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales goals
Strong knowledge of cell tower equipment or the ability to quickly learn technical products
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Self-starter with the ability to work independently
Experience using CRM software to manage sales activities
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel within your territory
