Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Deployed UAS (Unmanned Aircraft System) Operator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and deploying UAS platforms in various field environments to support mission-critical objectives. Your expertise in aviation, military operations, and drone technology will enable you to execute complex missions safely and efficiently. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative projects that require precision, technical skill, and a proactive approach.

Duties

Operate deployed UAS platforms in diverse environments, ensuring safe and effective flight operations in compliance with all applicable regulations.
Conduct pre-flight inspections, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and perform routine maintenance on drone systems to ensure optimal performance.
Capture high-quality imagery and video footage for reconnaissance, surveillance, or documentation purposes using advanced photography and filming techniques.
Apply GIS (Geographic Information Systems) knowledge to analyze spatial data collected during missions for strategic planning and reporting.
Adhere strictly to Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and Department of Defense (DoD) standards governing unmanned aircraft operations.
Coordinate with team members and command centers to execute mission plans accurately while maintaining situational awareness.
Maintain detailed logs of flight activities, technical issues, and mission outcomes to support operational transparency and continuous improvement.

Experience

Proven experience operating UAS platforms in military or federal agency settings, with a strong understanding of aviation principles.
Demonstrated knowledge of photography, filming, and data collection techniques using drone technology.
Mechanical knowledge related to drone systems, sensors, and payloads for troubleshooting and maintenance tasks.
Familiarity with GIS applications for spatial analysis and mapping during deployment missions.
Prior DoD experience or military background is highly desirable for understanding operational protocols and security requirements.
Proficiency in English communication skills for clear reporting and coordination across teams.
Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations relevant to unmanned aircraft operations is essential for safe compliance during deployments.
