KINSYN is looking for a highly social-native, culturally aware Social Media Manager to help grow and manage our presence across social platforms.
This person should genuinely live and breathe social media. You are constantly watching how people communicate, which sounds, formats and conversations are gaining momentum, and how brands can participate in ways that feel timely, relevant and credible.
You will be responsible for finding trends, developing ideas and turning those ideas into social-first content. You will help manage the day-to-day content calendar, create and adapt content, write copy, publish posts and track what is resonating across channels.
This is a hands-on role for someone who can move quickly from insight to execution. You will not be expected to produce every major campaign asset, but you should be comfortable filming and editing short-form video, creating simple social graphics, adapting existing creative in Canva or Figma and preparing content for publishing.
What you’ll doTrend discovery and content ideation
- Actively monitor TikTok, Instagram and other relevant platforms to identify emerging trends, sounds, formats, memes, creator behaviors and cultural conversations.
- Bring forward timely, brand-relevant content ideas on a consistent basis, including clear recommendations for how KINSYN should participate.
- Distinguish between trends worth joining, trends that should be adapted for the brand and trends that should be avoided.
- Monitor competitors, adjacent brands, creators and broader health, wellness, beauty, lifestyle and culture conversations.
- Recommend new content formats, recurring series and platform-specific storytelling opportunities.
Content creation and execution
- Turn trends, campaign priorities and brand messages into social-first content ideas and executable posts.
- Create short-form videos, Stories, simple graphics, carousels and other platform-native content using social editing tools, Canva, Figma or similar platforms.
- Film and edit lightweight content independently when appropriate, using existing products, team members, providers, creators or approved brand assets.
- Write hooks, captions, on-screen copy and calls to action that reflect the brand voice and feel natural to each platform.
- Adapt existing creative into new social formats and versions for testing.
- Partner with the Creative Director and internal creative team on larger or more production-intensive content needs.
Content planning and channel management
- Build and maintain the social content calendar in alignment with brand priorities, campaigns and business goals.
- Prepare, schedule and publish approved content, captions, tags and links across relevant channels.
- Keep social assets, references, trend examples and content concepts organized and easy for the team to access.
- Monitor comments, direct messages and audience feedback, flagging meaningful questions or emerging conversations.
- Support community management and coordinate responses with the appropriate internal teams.
- Help ensure content feels native to each platform rather than simply repurposed across channels.
Performance and optimization
- Track content performance and identify patterns in the topics, hooks, formats and creative approaches that are resonating.
- Share concise performance updates with practical recommendations for what to repeat, improve or test next.
- Help test different hooks, messages, formats and creative variations across organic and paid social.
- Translate organic social learnings into ideas that can inform paid creative development.
What we’re looking for
- 1 to 2 years of experience in social media management, content creation, content marketing or a related role.
- A strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok and other major social platforms, including how content behavior differs across each.
- A demonstrated ability to identify trends and turn them into timely, relevant content ideas.
- Hands-on experience creating and editing short-form social content.
- Strong instincts for storytelling, audience behavior, brand voice and social-first creative.
- Strong writing skills, including the ability to develop hooks, captions, on-screen copy and content briefs.
- Working knowledge of Canva, Figma and social-native video editing tools.
- Experience managing content calendars and publishing across multiple channels.
- Organized, proactive and able to move quickly while maintaining strong judgment and attention to detail.
- Comfortable receiving feedback and collaborating with creative, marketing, agency and cross-functional partners.
Nice to have
- Experience with health, wellness, telehealth, beauty, lifestyle or consumer brands.
- Experience supporting both organic social and paid social creative.
- Experience collaborating with creators, influencers or subject-matter experts.
- Familiarity with social scheduling, listening and analytics platforms.
- An understanding of regulated industries and the importance of compliant consumer communication.
What success looks like
- KINSYN has a consistent, relevant and active social presence.
- The team receives a steady flow of timely trend insights and actionable content ideas.
- Trends and cultural moments are translated into content quickly and thoughtfully.
- Content is created, organized, approved and published efficiently.
- The brand produces more social-native content without relying on heavy production for every post.
- Performance learnings regularly inform what the team creates and tests next.
About you
You are the person who notices a format, sound or conversation before everyone begins talking about it. More importantly, you can quickly turn that observation into a smart content idea.
You are creative, resourceful and comfortable making things. You can capture and edit a video, write a strong hook, organize a content calendar and make sure approved work gets published. You understand that social media moves quickly, but you also know that not every trend is right for every brand.
You are excited to learn, open to feedback and eager to grow your skills while helping build a clear, engaging and culturally relevant social presence for KINSYN.
