Full Job Description

Job Overview
Houston Civil Engineering is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive strategic growth, develop client relationships, and identify new project opportunities throughout Texas.

This position is ideal for professionals with experience in real estate development, commercial real estate brokerage, land acquisition, or development management. The successful candidate will leverage industry relationships to connect with developers, investors, property owners, architects, contractors, and municipalities while helping guide projects through the land development process.

Duties

Develop and implement business development strategies to increase revenue and market presence.
Identify and pursue new project opportunities within land development, municipal infrastructure, water/wastewater, transportation, and commercial development sectors.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with developers, property owners, municipalities, MUDs, utility districts, architects, contractors, and governmental agencies.
Attend industry events, networking functions, conferences, and community meetings to promote company services.
Track and manage project leads, opportunities, and client communications through the firm's CRM system.
Coordinate with engineering staff to prepare proposals, qualifications packages, presentations, and fee estimates.
Assist with contract negotiations and project initiation activities.
Monitor industry trends, upcoming developments, capital improvement programs, and public bid opportunities.
Support marketing initiatives including website content, social media, advertising, and promotional campaigns.
Maintain regular communication with existing clients to ensure satisfaction and identify additional service opportunities.
Collaborate with executive leadership to establish annual growth objectives and business development targets.
Represent the company in a professional manner consistent with the firm's values and reputation.

Experience

Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Real Estate, Marketing, Communications, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, sales, client relations, or project development within the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) industry.
Strong understanding of civil engineering, land development, municipal infrastructure, or construction processes preferred.
Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain professional relationships.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management abilities.

Pay: $69,018.38 - $150,000.00 per year
