Job Summary
The IHP Clinically Integrated Network (CIN) Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting the network population health management and value-based care/payment strategies. This role is responsible for analyzing financial data inclusive of company expense and revenue data, claims cost and utilization data, market intelligence data, and electronic medical record data. The position will partner with the CIN Business Analyst, who develops network advanced analytics and reports to drive network change. The position will be responsible for developing financial reports to tell the story of performance of key indicators for network financial performance of all managed care contracts inclusive of the full professional risk agreements and capitation agreements. In addition, this position will collaborate with leadership to monitor financial performance and recommend and implement opportunities for best practices, revenue generation, and cost-saving opportunities.
Essential Job Functions
· Analyze and trend large data sets inclusive of company financials, claims (cost/utilization) quality, EMR, utilization (cost), and budget
· Build models for claims pricing, capitation, risk-adjustment, and emerging cost trends
· Identify trends and forecast cost and/or patient utilization data for cost and/or chronic condition trending
· Identify potential solutions for negative trends of cost, utilization, or disease profiles (revenue generating or cost saving opportunities)
· Evaluate the financial impact of payer contracts, provider network performance, and value-based care incentives
· Partner with the family of companies (FOC) Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) team to ensure consistency and compliance across financial data sources
· Utilize advanced analytics platforms to create reports for executive leadership review and/or committee, board, member health centers
· Present actionable, data-driven insights to the EVP to influence strategic decisions
· Collaborate with PHIT, Operations, and Clinical departments to identify process improvement initiatives or best practices
· Partner with the Management Service Organization (MSO) to utilize existing reports or data sets through PowerBI or Tableau

Education/Experience
· Requires a bachelor’s degree in finance, health informatics, data science, actuarial science, economics, or related fields
· Requires at least 3 years of healthcare analytics or economist experience
· Working knowledge of business intelligence tools such as PowerBI and/or Tableau[AS1]
· Extensive knowledge of Excel
· Ability to simplify complex datasets or problems utilizing Microsoft Office tools such as PPT, Excel, etc.

· Physical ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
Geographical Location, Standard Business Hours, and Travel Requirements
· Remote work from home.
· Must have internet service with suitable performance, availability, and security.
· Business hours are generally 8:00-5:00 Pacific time. Actual hours to be arranged with supervisor.
· Approximately 5% travel is required.

· Adhere to HCP’s HIPAA Security Policies and Procedures and report all security incidents to HCP’s Privacy & Security Officer

Pay: $90,384.00 - $124,278.00 per year
