Full Job Description

MDC is seeking six Travel Lead / SSHOs to lead four-person field teams performing real-property inventory, record validation, evidence collection, reconciliation, and audit-readiness support at Air Force Reserve and Air National Guard installations nationwide. Candidates must be comfortable with sustained travel, independent onsite customer interaction, remote parcels, fence-line and linear-asset work, and detailed home-office documentation between deployments.

Responsibilities

Lead a stable four-person field team and own onsite coordination, daily completion decisions, the 100% Capture Gate and one-visit execution discipline.
Perform SSHO/competent-person duties as an additional duty after company-funded training; enforce the site-specific safety plan and stop-work authority.
Coordinate vehicle, remote-parcel, fence-line, airfield/flight-line and equipment-readiness requirements before field release.
Serve as MDC’s onsite team lead and primary installation representative during assigned visits.
Plan the site work package, daily route, interviews, record review, physical validation, evidence capture, safety controls, equipment, and daily closeout.
Validate existence, completeness, category, use, attributes, rights, documentation, coordinates, condition indicators, blanks, and discrepancies within the final PWS definition of full inventory.
Interpret KSDs, DAF Form 914, NexGen records, facility folders, GIS/GeoBase data, grants, land interests, maps, drawings, and supporting documents.
Direct and review the paired Analyst’s work; perform daily self-check and peer review before transferring the package to the ARPL.
Maintain daily production, discrepancy, access, safety, Government-action, evidence, and decision logs.
Identify proposed changes and assemble support, but do not make unauthorized NexGen or accountable-record changes.
Coordinate virtually with the ARPL, NexGen/QC staff, and program leadership during kickoff, daily status, exceptions, and closeout.
Complete home-production work including DAF Form 914 support, KSD organization, reconciliation, package assembly, QC corrections, and comment resolution.
Operate or coordinate mission-suitable rental vehicles and comply with installation-specific driving, flight-line, safety, photography, and access rules.

Required qualifications

4 or more years in real-property inventory, facilities/civil engineering, asset accountability, GIS-supported field verification, FIAR, audit readiness, or comparable DoD/federal work.
Ability to interpret real-property records, maps, KSDs, grants, land interests, buildings, structures, and linear assets.
Demonstrated field leadership, independent customer interaction, evidence discipline, report writing, and ability to resolve ambiguous records without guessing.
Ability and willingness to travel extensively, work in varied weather and terrain, walk large installations, and visit remote parcels or fence lines when authorized.
Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and ability to meet installation-specific driving requirements.
Ability to obtain and maintain required Government clearance, CAC, AFNet, NexGen, KSD/repository, and installation access.

Preferred qualifications

Air Force/DoD real-property accountability, AFRC/ANG, AFCEC, BRPO, FIAR, DAF Form 914, NexGen, or GeoBase/GIS experience.
Experience leading physical inventories, audit evidence collection, facility assessments, survey support, or multi-site field teams.
GIS, facilities, real-estate, engineering technician, project-management, or quality credential.

Education

Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in real estate, engineering technology, facilities/construction management, GIS/geography, business, or a related field preferred. A high school diploma/GED with substantial directly relevant experience may be considered.

Employment and access conditions

Employment is contingent on contract award, final labor-category requirements, funding, successful background/pre-employment screening, and the candidate’s ability to obtain required Government access.
Candidates must comply with MDC and Government requirements for controlled information, cybersecurity, records, photography, safety, vehicles, equipment custody, timekeeping, and travel.
Salary placement and incentives depend on relevant experience, location, credentials, travel commitment, internal equity, market evidence, and the approved program compensation pool.
