THE ROLE

We're hiring a Director of Marketing to own how the world discovers and falls in love with USR. This is a builder's seat. You'll drive demand, shape our brand and narrative, run the content and social engine, and, as we grow, hire and lead the team behind it. You'll have real ownership over strategy and execution from day one. If you want to build a category-defining brand in sports performance and see your work move the numbers, this is your field.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

Demand and Growth

Own the full acquisition funnel across paid, organic, lifecycle, and email, and drive a steady, measurable flow of qualified leads and revenue.
Partner tightly with Sales to turn marketing pipeline into closed business, with shared goals and clean handoffs.
Set the metrics, own the dashboards, and make decisions off data, not hunches.

Brand and Narrative

Sharpen and protect the USR brand: the positioning, the voice, and the story that makes us a movement, not just software.
Build the category narrative for speed and make USR the name coaches and athletes rally behind.
Keep every touchpoint passionate, authoritative, and unmistakably USR.

Content and Social

Stand up a repeatable content and social engine that produces coach and athlete storytelling at a consistent cadence.
Grow our reach and engagement across channels through performance storytelling that puts athletes and results front and center.
Turn our data and community into a constant stream of shareable, credible proof.

Community and Team

Grow and energize the community of coaches and athletes on the platform. Deepen engagement, celebrate wins, and turn customers into advocates.
Hire, structure, and lead the marketing function as it scales, setting up the tools, processes, and rhythms that let a small team punch above its weight.

Your First Year

Build a predictable demand engine that measurably grows qualified pipeline and revenue.
Stand up a repeatable brand and content system that speaks with one clear, confident USR voice.
Measurably grow the athlete and coach community and its engagement across the platform.
Recruit the first marketing hires and put the tooling and processes in place to scale.

What You Bring

3 to 7 years of marketing experience with a track record of driving growth and building brand.
A background in sports, athletics, athlete performance, or a related athletic brand. You understand coaches and athletes because you've marketed to them.
Real fluency across demand gen and brand. You can run a paid campaign and write a manifesto, and you know when each is the right move.
Hands-on command of modern marketing tools: CRM, email and lifecycle, analytics, paid platforms, and social.
A bias for action, strong ownership, and comfort building from the ground up in a fast-moving company.
Sharp storytelling and a high bar for craft. You can make data feel human.

Bonus Points

Experience building and leading a marketing team.
A network in the sports performance, coaching, or athletic training world.
Comfort with performance data and turning it into compelling stories.
