About ProSoundWeb

ProSoundWeb.com is the professional audio industry's largest online community, covering all aspects of pro sound, including live sound, recording engineering and production, worship audio, Pro AV, installed sound, and DJ and musician markets. The site draws more than 240,000 monthly unique visitors and serves a highly engaged niche audience of working audio professionals. ProSoundWeb also features editorial from its sister publications, Live Sound International magazine and Church Sound magazine, and is a subsidiary of EH Media, a leading integrated B2B media company.

The Role

EH Media is seeking an experienced Editor to lead day-to-day editorial operations for ProSoundWeb.com. This is a hands-on content role requiring someone who can manage high-volume digital publishing with discipline and editorial judgment, while continuously developing the sources, voices, and content that keep PSW the go-to destination for working sound professionals.

Content Channel Responsibilities

Daily site publishing targets 8 to 10 releases, plus 1 original or evergreen feature. The editor owns WordPress posting, maintains awareness of existing evergreen content to avoid duplication, and understands how content is organized across PSW's sections.

Newsletter production is a core daily function. The PSW Daily consists of one feature and four news releases, with materials delivered to the production team by early afternoon for a 4 pm distribution. Weekly editions covering install, live, church, and recording each require a top story and four supporting article links. Sponsored specialty newsletters are produced on a scheduled basis and typically lead with a sponsor-focused story alongside four relevant article links.

The editor oversees the PSW Podcast Network, checking in regularly with hosts on content direction and ideas, and coordinating with the production team on materials, edits, posting, and social promotion.

Each month, the editor aggregates relevant PSW content and edits it down for the new products, applications, and news sections of Live Sound International and Church Sound magazines.

Social channel posting is handled by the production team, with the editor available to coordinate on additional posting needs as warranted.

What You'll Do

Publish 8 to 10 pieces of content daily in WordPress, maintaining accuracy, consistency, and editorial quality across all posts.
Produce one original or evergreen feature each day, drawing on existing site content and new material.
Edit incoming content to ensure reader value. Most press releases require significant rework before they are publishable.
Manage daily and weekly newsletter content, coordinating materials with the production team on deadline.
Oversee the PSW Podcast Network, maintaining regular contact with hosts about content strategy, direction, and production needs.
Interface regularly with Live Sound International and Church Sound editors and with manufacturers to maintain strong content relationships.
Continuously develop new content contributors. Bringing in new voices and perspectives is a key part of the job.
Cross-purpose content across live, install, and church channels, adapting material with the appropriate editorial slant for each audience.
Monitor and leverage content agreements with third-party sources.
Compile monthly content summaries for LSI and Church Sound magazine sections.
Attend industry trade shows as needed and participate in management meetings.
Process invoices from independent contractors and submit to accounting for payment.

What You Bring

Three to five years of editorial experience in a digital publishing environment, with a strong preference for journalism backgrounds rooted in technology, engineering, or B2B trade media. You know how to report, write, and edit at volume without sacrificing accuracy or voice.

Familiarity with the professional audio and AV industry is essential. You do not need to be a credentialed engineer, but you need to be conversant in the space: signal flow, system design, mixing consoles, loudspeaker technology, audio networking, and the distinct worlds of live sound, installed systems, worship audio, and recording. You can interview a system tech or a DSP engineer and ask the right follow-up questions.

A track record of managing contributor relationships with subject matter experts, translating technical content for a practitioner audience without dumbing it down. Comfort with WordPress or comparable CMS platforms, SEO fundamentals, newsletter production, and editorial calendar management. Strong copy editing skills with the ability to sharpen clarity and structure while preserving the author's technical voice.

Experience in B2B trade media is a plus. Familiarity with how editorial, advertising, and event programming work together in an integrated media business will help you move quickly in this role.
