Full Job Description

Our client, a leading organization in the real estate and construction industry, is seeking a Vice President, Project Controls to join their team. As a VP, you will be part of the Project Controls Department supporting strategic project initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, analytical thinking, and excellent communication skills, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: VP of Project Controls

Location: New York, New York

Pay Range: $110-134/hr.

What's the Job?

Lead project controls for multiple large-scale and complex projects, ensuring effective management of schedules, budgets, and risks.
Collaborate with team members to execute project phases from conceptual design through final construction.
Present project updates and cost estimates to key stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accuracy.
Develop risk mitigation strategies and monitor their implementation to safeguard project deliverables.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance project outcomes.

What's Needed?

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, preferably in Quantity Surveying, Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.
10+ years of experience as an Estimator, Cost Manager, or similar role within the construction or real estate industry.
Proficiency with estimating software such as Cost-X, On-Screen Takeoff, or equivalent tools.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Professional certifications in project management (e.g., AACE, RICS) are preferred.
