Purpose of the Role
Freedom Air is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Turbine Aircraft Mechanic to join our growing maintenance team. This position is responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on turbine-powered aircraft while ensuring the highest standards of safety, regulatory compliance, and aircraft reliability.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled maintenance, inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs in accordance with FAA regulations and manufacturer maintenance manuals.
- Troubleshoot and repair aircraft mechanical, engine, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, landing gear, and environmental systems.
- Complete annual inspections, Phase inspections, 100-hour inspections, progressive inspections, and unscheduled maintenance.
- Perform engine, propeller, and airframe maintenance on turbine aircraft.
- Diagnose discrepancies efficiently and determine proper corrective action.
- Properly document maintenance performed in accordance with FAA regulations.
- Read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, wiring diagrams, structural repair manuals, and technical publications.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders.
- Perform operational checks and functional testing following maintenance.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and returned to service in an airworthy condition.
- Follow Freedom Air General Maintenance Manual (GMM), company procedures, and safety management system (SMS).
- Coordinate maintenance activities with Flight Operations to minimize aircraft downtime.
- Assist with aircraft recovery and AOG (Aircraft on Ground) situations when required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional maintenance facility.
- Properly care for company tooling, equipment, and ground support equipment.
- Participate in inventory control and parts accountability.
- Assist with receiving inspections and quality control of aircraft parts.
- Support aircraft conformity inspections and aircraft onboarding.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with aircraft owners.
- Assist in developing maintenance procedures and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Aircraft Experience
Experience with one or more of the following aircraft is highly preferred:
- Epic E1000 GX/AX
- Pilatus PC-12
- King Air Series
- Cessna Citation Series
- Pratt & Whitney PT6A engines
- Garmin G1000 / G3000 avionics familiarity is a plus.
Qualifications
Required:
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to obtain airport security badge
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- High attention to detail
- Professional appearance and attitude
- Ability to lift 75 pounds
- Ability to work on ladders, platforms, and in confined spaces
- Ability to occasionally work evenings, weekends, holidays, and respond to AOG events
Preferred:
- 3+ years turbine aircraft maintenance experience
- Part 135 maintenance experience
- PT6 engine experience
- Avionics troubleshooting experience
- Sheet metal and composite repair experience

Working Environment
This position is performed primarily in an aircraft hangar and on airport ramps. The mechanic will routinely work around operating aircraft, aircraft engines, hazardous materials, and specialized maintenance equipment while exposed to varying weather conditions.

Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour
