We are proud to offer clean/secure facilities for our customers to store their Boat/RV/Other Belongings in. We are committed to maintaining a clean, safe, and well-functioning environment for our customers and team members.

Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable Self Storage Outside Building/Property Maintenance technician to oversee the upkeep and maintenance of our storage facilities. This role is vital in ensuring the safety, functionality, and appearance of our property, supporting smooth operations and excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with a strong work ethic, capable of performing both expected and unexpected maintenance tasks, security checks & customer service. Job may require the ability to work at different Emigrant Storage locations and on different days. Full time position, 40 hours per week. Set days off may vary but are consistent week to week when we are fully staffed.

Duties/Responsibilities

Showing available rental Units/Spaces to new Customers
Daily Property Checks/Inspections
Office Requested Tasks
Operating Forklift When Needed
Cleaning Storage Units
Fixing/Replacing Door Hasps
General Building Maintenance & Repair
Repairing/Replacing Roll Up Doors
Painting & Sheet Rock Repair Where Needed
Roof Repair
Seasonal Tasks such as landscape upkeep, irrigation repair, leaf blowing, weed spraying/removal and clearing snow
Golf Cart and other equipment maintenance/upkeep
Other occasional Electrical/Mechanical/Irrigation/Plumbing/ Landscape/Building Maintenance tasks as needed
Conduct repairs using mechanical knowledge to address issues promptly.
Operate tools such as volt meters and other diagnostic devices to troubleshoot electrical systems.
Utilize In place system for keeping track of the work you perform and what is needed by completing legible detailed work orders, office requests and inventory requests

Experience

MUST HAVE A STABLE WORK HISTORY
MUST HAVE At least 1 year of experience working with tools in a job/trade that involved building/maintaining/repairing things in some way
MUST HAVE A PROFESSIONAL APPEARENCE
Self-motivated individuals with good work ethic and good organizational skills are HIGHLY encouraged
Forklift experience is required as the ability to operate a forklift safely is necessary for the position
Good Communication/Customer Service skills to address tenant or client concerns professionally.
Proven experience in facilities maintenance or property management within a commercial or residential setting is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
