Job Description

We are seeking dependable, professional, and alert Security Officers to help maintain a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, vendors, and company property.

Security Officers are expected to maintain a professional security presence, follow established procedures consistently, and treat everyone with professionalism and respect.

Responsibilities

Monitor employee, visitor, vehicle, and delivery traffic entering and leaving the facility.
Conduct routine walking and vehicle patrols of the property.
Verify that employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors have proper credentials before accessing restricted or production areas.
Announce and properly document the arrival of guests, deliveries, service technicians, and contractors.
Monitor security cameras, alarms, access points, and other security systems.
Answer phones and provide directions, information, and general assistance when needed.
Inspect buildings, equipment, doors, gates, and access points for security concerns.
Remain alert for suspicious persons, vehicles, activities, safety hazards, or potential criminal activity.
Maintain a visible security presence to help deter theft, trespassing, vandalism, and other unauthorized activity.
Verify and document load information for products and shipments arriving at or departing the property.
Complete Daily Activity Reports, incident reports, and other required security documentation accurately and professionally.
Remain calm and respond appropriately during emergencies, incidents, and stressful situations.
Complete all assigned patrols and security duties consistently.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

Candidates must:

Be at least 18 years of age.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Be able to successfully complete required background and drug screening.
Have reliable personal transportation to and from the assigned work location.
Be able to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to perform required security duties and complete reports.
Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
Be comfortable using a smartphone or tablet for security reporting and other job-related applications.
Have basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
Be physically capable of bending, kneeling, carrying items, and performing patrol duties as required.
Be comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Maintain a clean, neat, and professional appearance while in uniform.
Live within approximately a 30-minute drive of the assigned work location.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous security, military, law enforcement, corrections, or similar experience is preferred but not required.
Previous supervisory or leadership experience is a plus.

Professional Conduct

All Security Officers are expected to conduct themselves professionally while on duty. Employees must treat coworkers, clients, visitors, vendors, and members of the public with respect.

Profanity directed toward others, racial or ethnic slurs, discriminatory conduct, inappropriate jokes, harassment, and sexual harassment are strictly prohibited.

Uniforms are provided and must be worn as required. Officers are expected to maintain good personal hygiene and a professional appearance at all times.
