Full Job Description

Job Summary:

The Director of Operations is responsible for providing overall leadership to a designated multi-site region, with full accountability for the region’s operational performance, financial results, and leadership of the team. This role sets and drives the region’s growth strategy while delivering operational excellence, financial performance, and superior patient and team member experience across all practices in the region.

Essential Functions and Primary Responsibilities:

Lead the execution of regional growth strategies while driving operational efficiency and care quality across all practices in the region.

Partner closely with Regional and District Medical Directors to align clinical and business objectives, drive quality of care, and support provider engagement across the region.

Maintain full P&L accountability for the region, overseeing multi-site budgets, monitoring revenue and EBITDA performance, and driving cost-efficiency initiatives to meet or exceed financial targets.

Support the execution of clinical initiatives across the region, partnering with clinical leadership and Support Center teams to ensure consistent, high-quality patient care.

Ensure operational effectiveness of scheduling across all practices, optimizing patient access, and provider/practice productivity.

Drive team member engagement through collaboration, rewards/recognition, coaching, and career development; fostering a high-performance culture across the region.

Hold teams accountable to high levels of performance and address underperformance with action plans and/or performance management.

Recommend changes to deflect competitive pressures or to seize the opportunity to capture greater market share.

Lead regional marketing efforts and oversee patient review and online reputation management to strengthen brand presence and drive new patient growth in the region.

Ensure compliance across the region by holding staff to the highest standards of integrity and adherence to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including ADA standards and insurance compliance, as well as company standards and compliance programs.

Establish and monitor KPIs for clinical quality, patient satisfaction, and financial performance across the region, using data insights to guide improvement plans.

Lead with company values, modeling and reinforcing them in decision-making, team interactions, and day-to-day operations across the region.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field required

- Minimum of 5 years of multi-site healthcare operations experience with P&L responsibility required

- Strong business and financial acumen required

- Demonstrated track record of improving operational outcomes and customer/patient experience

- Multi-site healthcare experience with proven success managing clinical service lines and regional operations.

Required or Specialized Skills:

- Extensive travel throughout assigned region

- Compassion and high level of service for our patients, parents, and staff

- Integrity, always doing the right thing

- Team building skills; organizational and staff development skills

- Track record of superior performance in growing both the top and bottom line

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

- Ability to process tremendous quantities of data in an organized, focused fashion

- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving abilities

- Able to organize work, engage in a variety of tasks simultaneously and consistently meet deadlines

- High degree of initiative, accountability, and independent judgment

Physical Requirements:

The nature of work requires the ability to:

§ Effectively communicate and exchange information with patients, their parents, clinicians, and staff

§ Operate a computer, keyboard, and standard office equipment

§ Lift/carry up to 30 lbs and be able to twist, turn, bend, and stoop

The majority of work performed is in a clinical environment which may require availability for extended hours during peak periods. Work hours may change to meet business needs.
