Overview

Support campus-wide efforts to foster student wellbeing through education, prevention, engagement, and community building. This is a full-time, live-in position, with the employee residing in one of the College’s residence halls. As a live-in professional, the employee is expected to respect, support, and advance the Catholic mission, identity, and values in their daily work.

Duties and Responsibilities

Serve as the primary staff lead for wellbeing programming with the PC Well Living Learning Community, providing day-to-day leadership of educational and engagement initiatives. In partnership with the director and Residence Life staff, design, implement, and assess a residential wellbeing model emphasizing holistic wellbeing, health promotion, harm reduction, and belonging. Facilitate group meetings, workshops, and community building activities, and support students in co-creating programs aligned with community values and needs. (30%)
Develop and deliver educational programs, workshops, and outreach initiatives aligned with the college’s wellbeing curriculum and departmental priorities. Support campus-wide health promotion and prevention efforts addressing stress, sleep, substance use, recovery support, digital wellbeing, etc. Collaborate with campus partners to embed wellbeing education into co-curricular and residential experiences, and contribute to marketing, communication, and outreach materials that promote wellbeing programs and student support resources. (25%)
Support student involvement in wellbeing initiatives through peer leadership, student organizations, and collaborative programming. Assist with the training and supervision of student leaders and peer educators connected to wellbeing initiatives. Serve as an advisor or co-advisor to student organizations aligned with health promotion, wellbeing, or recovery-related efforts, as appropriate. Empower students to take active roles in shaping wellbeing culture within residential and campus spaces. (15%)
Collaborate with the Compass Collegiate Recovery Program (CRP) team to support a recovery-informed campus culture by aligning residential and co-curricular wellbeing initiatives with recovery principles. Extend recovery-supportive education, harm reduction practices, and allyship through collaborative programming—particularly within the PC Well Living Learning Community—to advance a recovery-ready campus environment. (15%)
Participate in assessment efforts related to wellbeing programming, including collecting feedback, tracking participation, and evaluating student learning outcomes. Utilize assessment data to improve PC Well programming and contribute insights to the director’s broader strategic planning and reporting efforts. Monitor emerging wellbeing trends and student needs, particularly as they relate to residential and community-based populations, (10%)
Serve as a collaborative partner to the director, contributing to divisional projects, committees, and campus initiatives as assigned. Maintain familiarity with national best practices in health promotion, collegiate wellbeing, and living-learning community models. Participate in divisional meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities. Support the daily operations of the office including program logistics and coordination, as needed. (5%)

MARGINAL DUTIES:

Perform all other duties as may be required.

Education and Experience

Master’s degree in health education/promotion, social work, higher education or a related field from an accredited institution required.
One to three years’ experience in health education/promotion or social work or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Basic proficiency with Qualtrics or other survey platforms.
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Strong communication and facilitation skills
Comfort level presenting to students, families, and administrators.
Ability to train peer leaders and campus partners.
Strong relationship building skills and experience building student belonging and community.
Skill in collaborating with a diverse group of campus partners.
Weekend and evening work required.
