Job Description
S&H Cabinets is a commercial millwork company. Our Projects are based out of Southern California area counties. We produce Custom Cabinetry/Millwork for Hospitals, Schools, Labs, Churches, Commercial buildings.
Position Overview: We’re looking for an experienced full-time Custom Cabinet Maker.
Employee will work full time in our shop in Fontana. Workload will include but not limited to assembly of Die Walls, Reception desks, pre-machined cabinets, Plastic Laminate Countertops, miscellaneous Fillers, Soffits, Trims and mouldings. Other duties, assignments and specific projects may be assigned at the discretion of management.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Consistently be at work Monday – Friday 8 hour shift (5am – 1:30pm), with some overtime as required.
- Knowledge of Custom Commercial woodworking
- Ability to interpret drawings and follow directions to achieve design intent
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Work independently with little or no direction while achieving completion date/Time
- Use hand tools, power tools, clamps, saws, sanders, drills, drivers, and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently
- Build Reception Desks / Die Walls
- Assemble pre-cut 32mm System cabinets
- Sanding wood when required
- Construct Wood Fillers, Soffits, Separate Bases, miscellaneous wood products
- Knowledge of using Altendorf Sliding Table saw & Miter aggregates.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Must be able to communicate effectively in speaking and writing English.
- Spanish speaking is a Plus
- Read & interpret Drawings.
- Use tape measure, inches & millimeters
- Knowledge of Inches, Millimeters, Angles
- Safely Use hand tools: 12” Altendorf Table sliding saw, Setup/operate routers/Chop saw
- Custom Cabinetry experience
- Plastic Laminate Countertop Experience
- Working knowledge of Plastic Laminate
- Familiar with Woodwork Institute Standards
- Zero tolerance for Alcohol and Drugs (including marijuana).
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Basic math and reasoning skills.
- Punctuality, Dependability and Reliability are critical.
- Well organized and able to manage time effectively.
