Head Coach – Manufacturing Operations Overview
Tactical Automation Inc, Inc. designs and manufactures custom industrial control systems, PLC panels, switchracks, measurement systems, and engineered electrical equipment for some of the largest industrial companies in North America.
We are looking for a Head Coach to build and lead a high-performing manufacturing team.
This is not a traditional production manager position.
We already have strong engineering, manufacturing systems, and technology. What we need is a leader who can develop people, create accountability, improve consistency, and build a culture where quality becomes the standard.

What You'll Be Responsible For
- Lead the daily operations of our manufacturing floor while maintaining a positive, disciplined culture.
- Coach employees to become more independent, skilled, and accountable.
- Set clear expectations and hold the team to consistent performance standards.
- Improve employee training and onboarding by working with our engineering and software systems.
- Identify bottlenecks, production issues, and quality concerns before they become major problems.
- Develop future team leaders and supervisors.
- Foster teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
- Partner closely with engineering to improve manufacturing processes, work instructions, and production efficiency.
- Ensure production goals are achieved without sacrificing safety or quality.
- Help build a manufacturing organization capable of supporting long-term company growth.

Experience
Experience leading manufacturing operations, industrial production, logistics, distribution, military operations, or other team-oriented environments is preferred.
Electrical or industrial experience is helpful but not required.
Experience successfully improving team performance, reducing turnover, increasing accountability, or building strong workplace culture is highly valued.

This role is intended to become one of the key leadership positions within Tactical as the company continues to grow.ntinuous improvement projects, change management initiatives, and organizational design enhancements that optimize manufacturing workflows.
- Conduct research and data collection to identify training needs, measure program effectiveness, and refine instructional strategies based on adult learning theories.
- Facilitate public speaking engagements, team meetings, and training sessions to communicate expectations clearly and motivate teams toward operational excellence.
- Lead efforts in human resources functions related to employee relations, HR sourcing, mentoring programs, and conflict management within manufacturing settings.
- Oversee the development of instructional content using tools like Adobe Captivate and other learning technology solutions to create compelling e-learning modules.
- Drive collaboration across departments by fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and safety awareness in line with corporate standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in curriculum development, instructional design (including ADDIE), and adult education within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong background in training program design for professional development with expertise in LMS platforms and e-learning course content development.
- Demonstrated leadership in talent management strategies such as succession planning, performance management, mentoring, and employee evaluation processes.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex concepts clearly through public speaking and classroom instruction.
- Skilled in project management methodologies with a focus on organizational design improvements and change management initiatives.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) along with familiarity with learning technology tools like Adobe Captivate and enterprise learning systems.
- Experience in developing employee training programs in human resources roles or related fields emphasizing adult learning principles.
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive employee relations while managing conflict effectively within diverse teams.
- Ability to research industry best practices through data collection and apply findings to enhance training effectiveness.
- Knowledge of human capital management practices including HR sourcing strategies aligned with organizational growth objectives.
