Full Job Description

Accel Custom Rehab, LLC is a Texas supplier of home medical equipment that specializes in Complex Rehab Technology Wheelchair systems. Our Mission is to provide assistive technology equipment with the highest professional standard possible, to consumers who are physically challenged and to allow them the greatest amount of independence possible.

Overview

Join our team as a Wheelchair Technician and become a vital part of enhancing mobility and independence for individuals who rely on specialized equipment.

In this role, you will be responsible for repairing, and maintaining wheelchair and mobility devices, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety, functionality, and regulatory compliance. Your expertise will directly impact on the quality of life for our clients by delivering dependable, expertly serviced equipment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills in a fast-paced, rewarding environment dedicated to improving mobility solutions.

Duties

Perform comprehensive diagnostics on wheelchair systems, including electrical and mechanical components, utilizing equipment manufacturer guidelines.

Use hand tools, calibration equipment, and computer hardware to execute precise repairs and adjustments.

Document all service activities accurately for customer file records and compliance purposes.

Equipment repaired is tested thoroughly to verify proper operation before returning it to the customer.

Maintain detailed records of repairs, calibrations, and inspections in accordance with regulatory standards.

Warehouse & Technician Office: Cleanliness & Maintenance Daily Housekeeping: Sweep, mop, and dust warehouse floors, racks, and workstations. Debris Removal: Break down boxes, operate cardboard balers, and dispose of trash.

Monitor stock levels daily, process incoming shipments, and verify packing slips against purchase orders.

Qualifications

1-2 years minimum of wheelchair repair is strongly preferred.
Excellent Driving Record
A professional technician balances safety, functionality, and clean branding
Good verbal and written communication skills
Basic experience with Word, Excel, Outlook, Google Sheets
Must be willing to drive long distances when helping customers.
Must be able to lift 50-75 lbs.
Regular bending, kneeling, crouching, and standing for extended durations during complex builds.
Proven experience working with OEM wheelchair systems or similar electro-mechanical medical devices.
Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical diagnostics skills for troubleshooting complex equipment issues.
Ability to read technical diagrams and troubleshooting guides effectively.
Proficiency in using hand tools, calibration devices, and basic computer hardware for diagnostics and repairs.
Excellent critical thinking skills with a focus on safety, quality assurance, and customer satisfaction.
Field service experience preferred, demonstrating ability to work independently in diverse environments while maintaining exact standards of repair accuracy.
