Full Job Description

Spine Physicians Institute is a Mayo Clinic fellowship-trained, surgeon-led orthopedic spine practice serving patients throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. Our mission is to help patients reduce pain, restore movement, and avoid unnecessary surgery whenever possible through evidence-based rehabilitation, regenerative medicine, and minimally invasive spine care.

We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and patient-focused Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our growing clinical team. This individual will work directly with our physicians to provide high-quality rehabilitative care while delivering an exceptional patient experience.

This is an excellent opportunity for a PTA who enjoys working one-on-one with patients, values collaboration with physicians, and wants to be part of an innovative practice that is redefining spine care.

Responsibilities

Provide individualized physical therapy treatment under the direction and supervision
Guide patients through therapeutic exercise programs designed to improve strength, mobility, balance, flexibility, and function.
Perform and document range of motion measurements, functional assessments, pain scores, and treatment progress.
Complete accurate, timely, and thorough EMR documentation for every patient visit.
Educate patients on home exercise programs and strategies to improve recovery.
Monitor patient progress and communicate changes or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist and physician.
Assist with rehabilitation programs for patients undergoing regenerative medicine treatments and minimally invasive spine procedures.
Maintain treatment areas, therapy equipment, and a clean, organized clinical environment.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA, infection-control protocols, and all applicable state practice regulations.
Deliver an outstanding patient experience through compassionate, professional care.

QualificationsRequired

Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
Current Texas Physical Therapist Assistant License in good standing.
Current BLS/CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain before employment).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent documentation and organizational abilities.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and assist patients throughout the workday.

Preferred

One or more years of outpatient orthopedic experience.
Experience treating spine, neck, back, or musculoskeletal conditions.
Familiarity with therapeutic exercise, manual therapy techniques, and functional rehabilitation.
Experience with electronic medical records (EMR).
Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
