CNC MACHINE OPERATOR & PROGRAMMER

A senior-level CNC machine operator and programmer handles complex machining tasks and ensures the production of high-precision components for aerospace systems.

Key Responsibilities:

· Advanced Machine Operation: Setting up, programming, and operating CNC machines to produce intricate aerospace parts with tight tolerances.

· Blueprint Analysis: Interpreting detailed engineering blueprints and specifications to guide machining processes.

· Quality Assurance: Conducting thorough inspections using advanced tools like Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to ensure parts meet aerospace standards.

· Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving complex issues with machines or production processes.

· Process Optimization: Collaborating with engineers to improve machining techniques and enhance efficiency.

· Leadership: Mentoring junior operators and providing guidance on best practices.

· Documentation: Maintaining detailed records of production, inspections, and machine maintenance.

· Safety and Compliance: Ensuring adherence to strict safety protocols and industry regulations, such as AS9100 standards.

Requirements:

· Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Advanced vocational training or an associate degree in machining, manufacturing technology, or mechanical engineering can be a significant advantage.

· Experience: At least 5-7 years of experience operating and programming CNC machines in a precision manufacturing environment, preferably in aerospace or a related industry.

· Technical Proficiency:

Expertise in CNC programming and operation.

Ability to work with advanced software like Mastercam, Fusion 360, or other Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) tools.

Strong knowledge of precision measurement tools and techniques, including using a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM).

· Understanding of Aerospace Standards: Familiarity with aerospace quality management systems, such as AS9100, and compliance with industry standards.

· Problem-Solving Skills: Capability to troubleshoot and resolve complex machining issues.

· Leadership Skills: Experience mentoring junior operators or leading small teams to meet production goals.

· Certifications: Advanced certifications such as NIMS (National Institute for Metalworking Skills) or equivalent CNC machining credentials can strengthen your application.

· Physical Stamina: Ability to work on your feet for extended periods, lift heavy materials, and handle the physical demands of the role.

· Safety and Precision: A deep commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and producing parts with high accuracy and tight tolerances.
