Full Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC machines to produce precision parts according to specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, technical drawings, and manufacturing standards to ensure high-quality output and efficiency. The position offers opportunities for professional growth within a dynamic production environment.

Duties

Program, set up, and operate CNC milling machines and CNC lathes, primarily using Fanuc controls.
Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications to produce accurate components.
Utilize CAD and SolidWorks for designing and modifying parts as needed.
Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to verify part dimensions.
Conduct routine maintenance on CNC equipment and troubleshoot issues related to electrical discharge machining, tooling, and machine calibration.
Select appropriate tooling and fixtures for machining operations; perform tool changes efficiently.
Implement lean manufacturing principles to optimize production flow and reduce waste.
Maintain documentation of machining processes, inspection reports, and quality control records.
Collaborate with assembly teams to ensure parts meet specifications for final product assembly.
Adhere to safety protocols including proper use of power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, forklifts, and other machinery.

Skills

Proficiency in CNC programming and CAM programming software.
Strong knowledge of GD&T principles and blueprint reading skills.
Mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing processes including plastics injection molding and welding.
Experience with electrical discharge machining (EDM) techniques.
Familiarity with SolidWorks, CAD software, and basic math skills for precise measurements.
Ability to operate CNC milling machines and CNC lathes with Fanuc controls.
Use of precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
Knowledge of tooling setup, fixture design, and machine calibration procedures.
Experience with power tools, hand tools, assembly processes, and safety equipment including bore gauges and welding tools.
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining high standards of quality and safety compliance.
