Full Job Description

Production Planner

Dallas/Fort Worth area

12 months contract

ID:1640040

Performs MRP analysis, production-order planning, shortage monitoring, inventory reconciliation, and work-in-process coordination for electronic manufacturing operations.

Job Requirements

5–10 years of production planning, materials planning, or manufacturing operations experience preferred
Knowledge of electronic component manufacturing
Experience managing production orders throughout the manufacturing process
Experience working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
Experience using material requirements planning systems
Experience reviewing planned orders, production orders, shortages, and inventory requirements
Experience maintaining production-order and item-planning data
Experience using production planning, inventory, warehouse, or enterprise resource planning software
Ability to complete required electrostatic discharge and safety training

Preferred Skills

Bachelor’s or associate degree in supply chain, operations, business, manufacturing, or a related field
Certified in Planning and Inventory Management certification
Experience planning serviceable replacement units and line-replaceable units
Experience monitoring work-in-process aging and production-order completion
Experience performing work-in-process and warehouse inventory audits
Experience with production capacity planning and load leveling
Experience coordinating outside production orders
Experience supporting process-improvement initiatives
Knowledge of electronic manufacturing material handling and kitting processes

Job Responsibilities

Analyze material requirements planning outputs and action messages
Release, reschedule, cancel, and maintain production orders based on MRP requirements
Review planned production orders and release eligible orders on schedule
Monitor aging production orders within work in process
Track material shortages affecting production-order release and completion
Monitor on-time completion of serviceable replacement units and line-replaceable units
Support daily shortage and manufacturing coordination meetings
Monitor secondary material issues to work-in-process orders
Verify production-order paperwork before release for kitting
Maintain open production orders and update documentation as required
Red-line production orders to document approved changes
Monitor MRP signals for manufactured items and complete required planning actions
Firm planned production orders to balance manufacturing capacity
Maintain item ordering, planning, and production-control data
Prioritize material receipts required to meet production schedules
Coordinate material shipments supporting outside production orders
Support work-in-process floor audits and inventory reconciliation
Support warehouse inventory counts and discrepancy reconciliation
Track production-order status, shortages, inventory, and schedule performance
Participate in production planning and process-improvement activities
