You are a hands-on HR practitioner who thrives in a fast-moving, multi-location environment. You know how to manage employee relations with both empathy and consistency, balancing the needs of the individual with what is right for the organization.

You are someone who brings calm to complex situations. Whether you are coaching a manager through a tough conversation, supporting an employee through a leave of absence, or navigating a sensitive workplace matter, you handle it with professionalism and care.

You are organized, detail-oriented, and proactive. You don't wait to be told something is broken. You notice it and fix it. You understand compliance isn't optional, and you make sure the organization stays protected without making people feel like they're being managed by a policy manual.

You are excited to be part of building something. Pearl Street is growing quickly, and the HR function is growing with it. You will play a meaningful role in supporting that foundation, bringing consistency and care to every interaction as the team scales.

What will you do?

Own employee relations across all Pearl Street locations, serving as the first point of contact for managers and employees on HR matters including performance, conduct, leaves of absence, and workplace concerns.
Partner with office managers and regional leadership to coach them through difficult conversations, PIPs, write-ups, and terminations, building their confidence and capability over time.
Manage all leave of absence processes including FMLA, ADA accommodations, and personal leave, ensuring compliance and a consistent employee experience.
Ensure company-wide compliance with federal, state, and local employment law, staying current on changes and proactively flagging risks.
Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation in Paycom, ensuring data integrity across all locations.
Support onboarding and offboarding processes, partnering with the recruiting and payroll to create a seamless experience.
Assist in developing and updating HR policies, employee handbook content, and standard operating procedures as the company grows.
Partner with HR leadership on practice integrations, supporting new employee onboarding, Paycom setup, and benefits enrollment for incoming team members.
Identify recurring ER trends and surface insights to the HR Director to inform proactive people strategy.

What will you bring?

3–5 years of HR Generalist experience, with a strong focus on employee relations, ideally in in a multi-location, high-growth environment.
Working knowledge of federal and state employment law, including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and at-will employment practices.
Experience managing the full employee relations lifecycle, from initial coaching conversations through formal documentation and separations.
Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities across multiple locations or business units without losing attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills. You can deliver difficult messages with compassion and clarity.
Experience with HRIS platforms; Paycom experience is a plus.
PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred, not required.
Healthcare, dental, or multi-site service industry experience is a plus.
