Customer Service Representative

Location: Twin Cities, MN (Hybrid)
Department: Marketing
Reports to: Chief Marketing & Product Officer
Date: July 15, 2026

Position Summary

The Customer Service Representative is responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience by responding to product and service inquiries, processing orders, and providing accurate information across multiple communication channels. This role also supports administrative functions such as preparing international shipping and performing data entry in inventory management system and QuickBooks Online.
As the company continues to enhance its customer experience through technology, this position will play an active role in supporting and optimizing our Zendesk platform, including the adoption and ongoing use of Zendesk AI tools to improve efficiency, consistency, and customer satisfaction.

Position Responsibilities

Open and maintain customer accounts by accurately recording payment, address, and contact information.
Resolve product issues by clarifying customer concerns, identifying root causes, determining solutions, and ensuring timely follow‑up.
Maintain financial accuracy by properly processing customer orders, adjustments, and credits.
Track and document customer service interactions to identify trends and recommend improvements to management.
Manage incoming calls, emails, and support tickets through Zendesk.
Provide accurate, complete, and timely information using available tools, resources, and product knowledge.
Assist with order placement, refunds, exchanges, and cancellations.
Support sales efforts by recommending products when appropriate.
Prepare international shipping documentation for dealers.
Serve as a backup on the assembly floor as needed.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to process optimization.

Zendesk & AI‑Related Responsibilities

Utilize Zendesk AI features (such as macro suggestions, automated ticket triage, and AI‑powered responses) to improve response quality and reduce resolution time.
Help maintain and refine Zendesk workflows, macros, and knowledge base content to ensure AI tools remain accurate and effective.
Provide feedback on AI‑generated suggestions and assist in training the system to improve performance over time.
Monitor AI‑flagged trends or recurring issues and escalate insights to management.
Support the rollout of new Zendesk AI capabilities and help ensure smooth adoption across the team.

Position Requirements (Knowledge & Experience)

Proficient in QuickBooks Online.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Proficient in Zendesk or similar customer service platforms; experience with Zendesk AI features is a plus.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt to a variety of customer personalities.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
Strong phone handling and active listening skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Flexible Schedule to be available during high volume sale periods.
Ability to troubleshoot and escalate problems as needed.
High school diploma or equivalent; college or technical education preferred.
Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position.

Job Type: Full-time
