About Complex Care Center

At Complex Care Center, we simplify the complexities of care by placing our patients at the forefront. As a Patient Service Representative, you'll be part of a compassionate team committed to supporting patients with chronic conditions and providing a user-friendly health home. Our approach is grounded in evidence-based methods that are proven to improve health outcomes and quality of life.

The Patient Service Representative serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, helping create a welcoming and supportive experience while ensuring the efficient operation of the front office.

Responsibilities

Greet patients, families, and visitors in a professional, friendly, and compassionate manner.
Answer incoming phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls appropriately.
Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments.
Manage patient check-in and check-out processes.
Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information.
Assist with administrative tasks, including insurance verification, scanning, filing, faxing, and document management.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records within the electronic medical record system.
Manage patient flow and communicate scheduling updates with providers and staff.
Coordinate with patients, pharmacies, hospitals, and community partners regarding non-clinical administrative matters.
Process payments and collect copays in accordance with office policies.
Monitor and respond to electronic communications, including patient messages and appointment requests.
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
Support office operations and assist team members with administrative projects as needed.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous medical office, receptionist, customer service, or administrative experience preferred but not required.
Experience with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard office equipment.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements.
Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility in scheduling to meet the needs of the clinic and our patients.
