As Virginia’s first nationally accredited compounding pharmacy, Rx3 Compounding Pharmacy has been an industry leader in innovation and quality for over 22 years. Rx3’s commitment to patient safety and customer service are the cornerstones of their thriving compounding pharmacy. In 2016, Rx3 expanded its operation to include a second location west of Short Pump Town Center on West Broad Street. Rx3’s Chester location is on Ironbridge Road in Chesterfield County which has been at that location since 2008.

Rx3 Compounding Pharmacy offers the ability to customize treatment sizes, dosages, strengths, and forms, to individually tailor medicines for each patient’s unique needs and preferences. Rx3’s Chester location operates a unique sterile compounding laboratory which is the only facility of this kind in the region. Rx3 Compounding Pharmacy employs licensed and experienced compounding pharmacists who provide prescription solutions which are simply not offered by commercial medicines.

Position Title & Overview

We are looking for a full-time Pharmacist able to provide exceptional customer service and eager to support the ongoing development of treatment strategies for specialized healthcare needs. The selected candidate will be working with physicians and other healthcare professionals to create innovative pharmacological solutions across a wide span of healthcare sectors including, but not limited to: Hormone Replacement, Weight Loss, Age Management, Wellness, Pain Management, Wound Care, Custom Pharmacy, Veterinary, and Dentistry.

Additional Responsibilities/Duties:

Provide leadership and direction to pharmacy staff as needed.
Timely and accurate preparation and distribution of pharmaceutical products
Promote and manage the quality improvement process, ensuring patient therapy is consistent with federal and state law, current best practices, current literature and/or other information sources.
Ensure compliance with USP guidelines by maintaining a properly controlled environment for drug storage and handling, as well as adhering to appropriate standards for the management of related supplies.
Review prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness
Compound medications/IVs; assay medications; answer customers' questions
Provide On-Call support

Experience, Skills & Abilities Required:

B.S. or PharmD. degree from an accredited Pharmacy School
Current Virginia pharmacist license
Exceptional communication, organization and analytical skills
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team to provide pharmacological solutions
Ability to work full-time, Monday through Friday.
