Orthotic & Prosthetic Technician

Location: Richmond, VA

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: Starting at $45,000 per year, with higher compensation based on experience.

About the Position

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Orthotic & Prosthetic Technician to join our growing team. We are looking for someone who is interested in building a long-term career with our company and growing alongside us as we continue to expand. This position is ideal for an individual who enjoys hands-on fabrication, problem-solving, and working in a collaborative healthcare environment. Experience in orthotic and prosthetic fabrication is preferred, but we are also excited to invest in the right candidate who is eager to learn, develop new skills, and embrace emerging technologies such as 3D printing and digital fabrication.

Responsibilities

Fabricate custom orthotic and prosthetic devices from clinician specifications.

Perform modifications, repairs, and adjustments to orthotic and prosthetic components.

Perform metal work and other fabrication techniques as required.

Learn and assist with 3D printing technologies and digital manufacturing processes.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized fabrication laboratory.

Monitor and maintain inventory of lab materials, tools, and fabrication supplies.

Operate and maintain fabrication equipment in accordance with safety standards.

Collaborate with clinicians to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Complete work accurately while meeting production timelines.

Qualifications

Experience in orthotic and prosthetic fabrication preferred.

Mechanical aptitude and experience working with hand and power tools.

Metalworking experience is preferred or willingness to learn.

Learn 3D printing and digital fabrication technologies.

Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.

Compensation & Benefits

Starting salary of $42,000 annually. Higher starting salary available for candidates with additional experience.
