Full Job Description

Family Practice Specialists of Richmond, PC, a privately owned practice, is seeking a full time family nurse practitioner or physician's assistant. The ideal applicant is team-oriented, compassionate, and interested in furthering the well-being of our patients.

Full time, Monday through Friday with no nights or weekend scheduled hours required. Shared weekend and holiday on-call shifts with other providers on limited basis. Competitive salary and generous benefits package.

Immediate Opening.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

Evaluate and treat adult and geriatric patients for acute, routine, well, and follow-up care.
Provide management of chronic diseases including but not limited to diabetes, high cholesterol, hypertension, COPD, and cardiovascular disease
Evaluate and treat acute illness and minor injuries
Physical examinations and immunizations
Annual wellness visits, transitional care management, value based care
Gynecological care
Cardiac screenings
Offer patients educational information on preventative care
Provide the highest quality of medical care to our patients
Uphold and maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and Company policies
Maintain active license and credentialing in the state of Virginia

Other requirements will include building relationships with patients and the health care community in order to build and enhance practice building and continuity of care.

Qualifications:

Possess and maintain certification as a Family NP accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).

Physicians Assistants must be certified in internal or family medicine.

Possess a minimum of two (2) years of experience within the last three (3) years as an NP or PA in an internal, family and/or geriatric medical setting. Will consider new graduates as well.

Licensed in VA and have an active DEA
