Full Job Description

A St. Louis based Electric company is seeking a long term contract A/R Clerk. Pay is $22 to $23 per hour. M- F 7am to 4pm hours. This is a 16 week + maternity leave position that could lead into longer.

Overview

Join our dynamic finance team as an Accounts Receivable Clerk and become a vital contributor to our company's financial health! In this energetic role, you will manage the billing and collections processes, ensuring timely and accurate recording of receivables while maintaining excellent client relationships. Your expertise will help streamline revenue cycle management. Responsibilities

Manage accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, data entry, and account reconciliation using accounting systems such as QuickBooks, Sage, or PeopleSoft.
Perform collections account management by following up on overdue payments and resolving billing discrepancies through professional client communication.
Utilize billing software and spreadsheets to track outstanding balances, analyze aging reports, and prepare detailed Excel data analysis for management review.
Conduct credit analysis for new and existing clients to determine appropriate payment terms and credit limits.
Support accounts payable functions as needed, including processing vendor invoices and reconciling statements.
Maintain accurate records of revenue cycle activities, generate reports on accounts receivable status, and assist with month-end closing procedures.
Collection software experience needed, GetPaid experience preferred.
-Computer skills needed.
-ERP experience needed.
-Routinely utilize GetPaid collection / communication software to initiate customer communication based on workflow actions.
-Record customer communication and actions in GetPaid.
-Manage resolution of customer disputed items, including escalating the matter to management when the situation has stalled.
-Monitor aging and communication of overdue balances and account reconciliations.
-Conduct regular meetings with sales and operations to review open items with a customer.
-Analyze scheduled reports for customer action items.
-Gather and assess documentation for preliminary job account approval,
-Monitor lien deadlines and complete required documents to reduce risk of loss.
-Perform general administrative tasks including document management and filing.
-Respond to incoming calls and voicemails in a professional and timely manner.
-Utilize clear and professional written communication across internal and external channels.
-Demonstrate effective problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
-Encourages collaboration and is viewed as a team player.
-Share customer insights and account updates promptly with relevant stakeholders.
-Work with CAS team on department goals.
-Must be willing and able to perform all other duties as assigned by management.
Experience
Proven experience in accounting or finance roles with a focus on accounts receivable management, collections, or related functions.
ERP and A/R Software experience needed. GetPaid Software system experience is a plus!
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone or email while maintaining professional etiquette.
Familiarity with medical collection processes or corporate accounting practices is a plus but not required.
Strong analysis skills combined with attention to detail in data entry, account reconciliation, and revenue cycle management tasks.
