POSITION: OFFICE CLERICAL

REPORTS TO: Building Principal

SUMMARY:

Assist with Office activities.

189 days – Richmond Community Schools Non-Contractual Employee.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Be present, on time and ready to work.

Assist with office duties.

Assist with students sent to the Clinic.

Manage activities in the absence of the building secretary.

Other related duties as assigned by building principal.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Proficient in the use of Windows Operating Systems.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites 2010 and newer.

Proficient in Internet and E-mail use.

Proficient in PowerSchool.

Proficient in the district mass communication system (currently School Messenger).

Willing to learn emerging technologies.

(Proficient is defined as: able to teach others).

EDUCATION:

High school diploma or equivalent.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Be able to communicate effectively with students, both orally and in writing.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Basic Math Skills are needed.

REASONING ABILITY:

Must be able to problem solve.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:

Have the ability to be organized and flexible.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing this job, the employee is frequently required to sit or stand for extended periods of time, walk, bend at the waist, kneel, crouch, push, pull, lift arms above the shoulders and lift a minimum of 20 pounds.

Have good dexterity for keyboarding.

Have ability to climb a ladder/step stool.

Exposure to Blood Borne Pathogens/bodily fluids.
