Mercury Clinical Research is seeking an experienced and highly dependable Clinical Research Coordinator to support pediatric clinical trials within our growing multi therapeutic research organization in Houston.

We are seeking a coordinator who can independently manage clinical trial responsibilities while creating a compassionate, professional, and positive experience for pediatric patients and families.

The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, emotionally intelligent, operationally strong, and experienced in managing studies in a fast paced clinical research environment.

This position is intended for experienced coordinators who are comfortable independently managing study responsibilities with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and manage pediatric clinical trials from startup through closeout

Independently conduct study visits, patient assessments, and protocol-required procedures

Build strong, compassionate relationships with pediatric patients, parents, and guardians

Educate families regarding study participation, visit expectations, safety, and protocol requirements

Perform clinical procedures independently, including:

Pediatric phlebotomy
Infant blood draws when applicable
Specimen processing and shipping
Vital signs

Maintain accurate source documentation and EDC entry

Manage protocol compliance, visit scheduling, subject retention, and study workflow

Manage AE/SAE documentation and safety reporting

Prepare for sponsor, CRO, monitoring, audit, and closeout visits

Collaborate closely with investigators, sponsors, monitors, recruiters, regulatory staff, and internal operations teams

Support high quality patient experiences while maintaining operational efficiency and strong data integrity

Maintain compliance with:

GCP/ICH guidelines
HIPAA regulations
FDA regulations
Sponsor requirements
Protocol compliance standards

Required Qualifications

Minimum 3–5 years of independent site-level Clinical Research Coordinator experience
Fluent in both English and Spanish, with the ability to comfortably communicate with pediatric patients and families
Comfortable independently hosting sponsor and CRO monitoring visits
Strong pediatric phlebotomy skills and experience required

Experience with:

EDC systems
Source documentation
AE/SAE reporting
Subject recruitment and retention
Protocol implementation
Sponsor and CRO communication

Ability to independently manage multiple studies and priorities in a fast paced environment

Strong critical thinking, organization, communication, and problem solving skills

Dependable, accountable, adaptable, and team oriented

Strong preference will be given to candidates with:

Vaccine study experience
Multi therapeutic research experience
CRC II, CRC III, or Lead CRC experience
High volume site experience

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred

Experience in pediatric vaccine studies strongly preferred

Experience working within high enrolling research sites preferred
