Full-Time Advanced Practice Clinician (FNP/PA), Bon Secours Nuckols Rd. Urgent Care

Bon Secours Mercy Health is growing and seeking dedicated and compassionate Advanced Practice Clinicians (Family Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants) to join our Nuckols Urgent Care teams in Richmond, VA. These full-time positions offer the opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment throughout our Richmond market.

As part of our urgent care team, you will manage a wide range of non-emergent illnesses and injuries while working alongside a supportive staff that includes medical assistants and front-office team members. Our urgent care clinics are open 7 days per week, 8 a.m. – 8 p.m., providing consistent scheduling and the opportunity to build strong connections with both patients and colleagues.

Urgent Care Scope of Services:

Walk-in access to high-quality, non-emergency care
Occupational medicine services, including workers’ compensation, return-to-work evaluations, and pre-employment physicals
On-site diagnostic services, including laboratory testing, X-rays, and EKGs
Seamless coordination with primary care and specialty providers as needed

- pay is based on years of active APC experience and does not include bonuses, incentives, stipends, or premium pay.

Option for overtime with premium pay of $90/hr.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive care for walk-in patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of urgent care needs
Perform procedures such as suturing, splinting, I&D, and wound care as appropriate
Collaborate with medical assistants and clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow and excellent service
Provide patient education and ensure clear communication around care plans
Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (Epic EMR)

Qualifications

Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license in Virginia
Active DEA license
Two years of independent APC experience - mandatory.
Urgent care, emergency medicine, or family med experience - strongly preferred
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical setting

Work Hours:

Full-Time: Three 8a-8p shifts per week with rotating weekends.
Clinic is closed New Year's Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
