Fractional / Part-Time FP&A Consultant | Remote | Ongoing, Open-Ended Engagement
Our Client, a $100M+ ground support equipment provider serving airlines, cargo and logistics operators, ground-handling companies, and maintenance organizations across the U.S. and Canada, is seeking a Fractional FP&A Consultant to provide ongoing financial planning and analysis support.
Location: Fully remote, but must reside in PST time zone
Pay Rate: $80–$100/hour
Commitment: Approximately 15–20 hours/week
Duration: Open-ended — this is intended as a long-term, ongoing fractional relationship, not a short-term project
About the Role
The company operates a large, capital-intensive fleet of specialized aviation ground support equipment, offering short-term rentals, long-term leases, equipment sales, maintenance, and 24/7 technical support. As the business continues to grow, the CFO, who currently manages the company's operating model and FP&A work largely on his own, is looking for consistent, dependable support from an experienced FP&A professional who can commit to a sustained, part-time engagement.
This is not a role for someone who has a full-time salaried position currently; our Client will only consider candidates who either A. just want a single part-time position with no other work commitments, or B. have multiple part-time / fractional engagements ongoing at any given time.

What You'll Do
- Support the CFO with annual budgeting and recurring forecasting processes
- Maintain and update the company's integrated operating and financial model
- Assist with three-statement modeling, including income statement, balance sheet, and cash-flow statement
- Update financial assumptions based on operating results, fleet investments, customer activity, and changing business conditions
- Prepare budget-to-actual and forecast-to-actual variance analyses
- Evaluate revenue, margins, operating expenses, capital expenditures, depreciation, cash flow, and working capital requirements
- Analyze equipment utilization, fleet additions, lease activity, maintenance costs, and other operating drivers
- Extract and analyze financial information from NetSuite
- Develop recurring reports and management analyses for the CFO
- Support scenario modeling and sensitivity analyses related to growth initiatives and capital investments
- Assist with cash-flow forecasting and longer-term financial planning
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as requested
- Help improve the consistency, accuracy, and efficiency of FP&A processes
- Serve as a reliable, ongoing extension of the finance team rather than a temporary, project-based resource
Required Qualifications
- Strong hands-on FP&A experience, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling (3-statement models)
- Demonstrated experience building, maintaining, or updating integrated three-statement financial models
- Current or prior experience working with NetSuite
- Advanced Excel skills and the ability to work independently within detailed operating and financial models
- Ability to commit approximately 15–20 hours per week on a consistent, ongoing basis
- Genuine interest in a long-term, open-ended fractional engagement rather than a short-term project
- Availability during normal business hours to collaborate regularly with senior finance leadership
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in equipment leasing, equipment rental, manufacturing, transportation, logistics, 3PL, aviation, or a similar capital-intensive industry
- Experience analyzing businesses with significant equipment purchases, depreciation, capital expenditures, maintenance costs, utilization metrics, and financing requirements
- Experience supporting a growing, middle-market company with $100M+ in revenue
- Prior experience working directly with a CFO or senior finance executive in a lean finance organization
- Familiarity with lease economics, fleet profitability, asset utilization, return on invested capital, or location-level operating performance
Pay: Up to $100.00 per hour
