About Us

At Green Drop Garage, we're on a mission to make car care suck less. We're a B Corp-certified auto repair company with eight shops across Oregon and Washington, built on a simple idea: take great care of our people, our customers, and our community, and the rest follows. As we grow, we're looking for an HR & Office Coordinator to become the person who helps keep everything — and everyone — running smoothly behind the scenes.

About the Role

This role sits at the heart of what makes Green Drop a great place to work. From a new hire's very first day through the everyday details that keep our team supported, you'll help shape the experience of everyone who works here. You'll split your time between HR — recruiting, payroll, onboarding — and keeping our central office humming, from vendors and supplies to events, compliance, and the day-to-day upkeep that keeps our space welcoming. It's a role for someone who genuinely cares about people and takes pride in creating an environment where they can do their best work. No two days look exactly alike.

What You'll Do

Support recruiting from start to finish — updating job descriptions, posting jobs, reviewing applications, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and running background checks
Guide new team members through onboarding, and handle offboarding when people move on
Process payroll and keep employee records accurate and up to date
Help keep the company organized and compliant — licenses, permits, and insurance renewals
Be the first point of contact for office and administrative requests across our locations
Keep the office stocked, tidy, and welcoming — coordinating everyday vendors and supplies and handling day-to-day upkeep
Support expense reconciliation and light bookkeeping
Plan and bring energy to company events, team gatherings, and celebrations

What You'll Bring

2+ years of HR experience (required) , payroll and recruiting experience preferred
Proven experience in office management or administrative roles within a professional environment
Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently using organizational skills and attention to detail
Discretion and good judgment with confidential information
Comfort with HR/payroll systems and everyday office software
Warm, clear, and professional communication
Familiarity with Oregon and/or Washington employment practices is a plus
A valid driver's license
A positive, roll-up-your-sleeves attitude — you're happy to jump in wherever you're needed

The Details

This is a full-time, in-person position based at our central office in Portland, OR — this role is not remote
Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
On occasion, you may be asked to drive to our shop locations, so a valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required
