Full Job Description

GreenSavers is seeking a detail-oriented Home Performance (HP) Auditor to take the lead with data collection during home energy audits and estimates.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Portland Auditor works with Home Performance Consultants to perform Home Performance Audits in client’s homes. They record accurate and comprehensive data on the homes they audit, and produce Home Performance Assessment Reports. They master modeling software to help maximize a home’s potential. They consistently represent the GreenSavers Brand and adhere to the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

For multiple years in a row, the US EPA and DOE selected GreenSavers from 1,4500 contractors across the country as ENERGY STAR® Contractor of the Year. The mission is to improve lives, inspire our team, and serve our communities by building in a better, more holistic way. In January 2018, we became the first dedicated home performance contractor in the country to join the B Corp community. B Corps are companies certified by the nonprofit B Lab to meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

WIll need BPI Building Analyst certification (we can train)
Complete home energy audits and estimates with HP Consultant. Collect and record data. Perform diagnostic tests in accordance with BPI standards (e.g. blower door test, CAZ test).
Assist HP Consultant with Home Performance Report and Project Proposal.
Review paperwork generated by HP Consultant for accuracy. Edit paperwork when requested by HP Consultant.
Use modeling software to calculate energy use and heating/cooling loads
Update CRM to keep client and project data up to date.
Answer project-related questions for the Project Manager or production team.
Perform test-outs and QA/QC walkthroughs when requested.
Complete post-project reports as needed by HP Consultant or Project Manager.

REQUIREMENTS

Fluency with Microsoft Excel
Comfortable working with CRM systems
Drive to better understand building systems, including technical data
Must have reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license

PHYSICAL EXPECTATIONS

Regularly stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. Frequently required to climb and balance.
Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
Be comfortable with heights and tight spaces

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

Bachelor’s Degree
BPI Accreditation
Experience in construction, home maintenance, or energy optimization

SCHEDULE & COMPENSATION

40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
Compensation: $25-$30/hr, depending on training and experience.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
