Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Law Clerk to join our dynamic legal team. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to support a wide range of legal functions across diverse practice areas, including personal injury, civil litigation, and more. As a Law Clerk, you will play a vital role in conducting legal research, drafting documents, managing case files, and providing essential administrative support to attorneys. This role is perfect for individuals eager to gain comprehensive legal support experience and develop their skills in a fast-paced, professional environment.

Duties

Conduct thorough legal research across multiple practice using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools.
Draft and review legal documents including contracts, pleadings, memoranda, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
Assist in managing case files through document review, organization within document management systems like iManage and PCLaw, and maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
Support attorneys with litigation preparation by organizing evidence, preparing exhibits, and reviewing procedural law requirements.
Conduct client interviews and communicate effectively with clients to gather case information and provide updates on case status.
Manage administrative tasks such as filing documents electronically or physically, scheduling appointments, and maintaining organized records.
Utilize Microsoft Office Suite for drafting reports, creating spreadsheets, and preparing presentations that support case strategies.
Support project management efforts by coordinating deadlines, tracking case progress, and assisting with legal support tasks across multiple cases.

Qualifications

Paralegal experience or prior law office experience demonstrating familiarity with legal procedures and documentation.
Strong research skills with proficiency in Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research platforms.
Knowledge of procedural law across various practice areas including civil litigation support and general & commercial litigation.
Experience with document review, legal writing, proofreading, transcription, and drafting contracts or legal memoranda.
Familiarity with case management software such as iManage or PCLaw; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) required.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle confidential information responsibly while managing multiple priorities efficiently.
Effective communication skills for client interaction and collaboration within the legal team.
Attention to detail in proofreading documents and ensuring accuracy in all work products.
Ability to adapt quickly to new tasks and demonstrate strong project management capabilities in a fast-paced environment.
