A Brief Overview
The Senior Data Analyst leads the analytical work for Holy Name Physician Partners — the physician network of Holy Name Medical Center. This is a senior individual-contributor role owning the network's pro forma modeling, physician compensation analytics, executive dashboards, variance reporting, and the strategic use of AI and automation to deliver enterprise-level output with lean staffing.
The role reports to the Executive Director of Finance and partners directly with the VP of Holy Name Physician Partners, service-line Executive Directors, and network leadership. The Senior Data Analyst partners with and mentors the Data Analyst on the team but is not a people manager — the value is in the depth, quality, and speed of the analytics.
This is a builder role for someone who sees analytics as a lever for network growth, financial performance, and physician engagement, and who is fluent enough in AI-augmented workflows to make a small function punch far above its weight.
What you will do
-
Pro Forma Development & Financial Modeling:
-
Own pro forma financial modeling for the network — provider recruitment, practice acquisitions, service-line expansions, site development, and joint ventures.
-
Build scenario and sensitivity analyses leadership can act on. Present the assumptions clearly and stress-test them.
-
Maintain a library of standardized pro forma templates that can be rapidly deployed for new opportunities.
-
Partner with the Director of Budget & Financial Planning on budget-side assumptions; own the model itself.
-
Physician Compensation Analytics:
-
Build and maintain compensation models for employed and contracted physicians — wRVU structures, guarantees, incentive plans.
-
Produce monthly and quarterly compensation reconciliation reports; ensure provider pay aligns with productivity and contract terms.
-
Lead market benchmarking (MGMA, Sullivan Cotter, and other sources) to validate competitiveness.
-
Support the Executive Director of Finance and the VP, HPP on contract negotiations and compensation committee materials. Comp plan design, modeling, and benchmarking live here; budget-to-actual tracking sits with the Budget Director.
-
Executive Dashboards & Strategic Reporting:
-
Design, build, and maintain executive dashboards and KPI scorecards — network, service-line, and practice level.
-
Own automated dashboards and recurring reports for variance analysis, revenue trends, visit volumes, payer mix, and provider productivity.
-
Translate complex data into visual narratives for physicians, operational leaders, and executives.
-
Set the standard for what network leadership sees, when they see it, and how it's presented.
-
AI-Augmented Analytics & Innovation:
-
Identify, evaluate, and deploy AI and automation to multiply output — data extraction, cleaning, modeling, and report generation.
-
Serve as the network's subject matter expert on analytics technology, AI-assisted workflows, and emerging platforms.
-
Build the analytics stack so a small function delivers enterprise output.
-
Mentorship & Data Governance:
-
Partner with and mentor the Data Analyst on the team — set the standard for technical work, review deliverables, and grow their capability. Not a people-management role; the influence is through craft and example.
-
Establish and enforce data quality standards, documentation practices, and analytical methodologies across all deliverables.
-
Be the analytics point of contact for peer teams — set expectations for what analytics can deliver and how requests flow in.
-
Cross-Functional Partnership:
-
Partner with Revenue Cycle, Operations, Physician Recruiting, IT, and service-line Executive Directors on data integrity and system alignment.
-
Coordinate with the Director of Budget & Financial Planning to maintain complementary lanes — analytics leads dashboards, automated reporting, comp modeling, benchmarking, and pro formas; the Budget Director leads operational budget-to-actual narratives and physician-facing financial walk-throughs.
-
Be the analytics voice at the executive table.
