Full Job Description

5o Years Strong, State Line Truck Service, Inc. is a family run business seeking a full time Parts Counterperson to work in our Fitzwilliam, NH location. A good counterperson keeps technicians productive, reduces downtime for fleets, and maintains strong customer relationships. We are looking for someone to thrive in a fast paced shop, know their way around heavy duty parts and love helping customers get back on the road. Parts is the bridge between technicians, customers, and vendors.

Job Requirements:

Experience in Diesel Class 8 heavy duty truck equipment desirable
Maintain a neat retail display area and keep area well stocked and priced
Assist customers with their mechanical questions to best assess their parts needs
Ability to work with little or no supervision
Process customer’s merchandise returns
Handle all in-person and telephone inquiries and orders in a professional manner
Customer Service both on the phones and in person with clear communication skills
Basic computer knowledge and experience Pick parts for counter sales
Parts delivery as necessary
Use of computer programs; in house and OEM programs along with vendor programs
Participate in OEM training, Education and Experience
High School Diploma / GED
0 – 3 years of proven heavy duty truck equipment experience Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Attention to detail

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Exceptional customer service and communication skills (both written and verbal)
Ability to work in a team environment
Must be highly motivated
Flexibility to work overtime as needed, provide Saturday coverage as scheduled
Sales experience a plus
Ability to lift up to 70 pounds
Mechanical knowledge of basic vehicle systems and operations

Hours:Monday – Friday 7:00 am – 5:00 pm, Saturdays 7:30 am 12:00 pm and overtime as necessary
