Full Job Description

Position Summary

The Banquet Event Manager at A’BULAE/Le VENERÉ reports directly to the General Manager and plays a key leadership role in delivering exceptional wedding and event experiences. This position oversees onsite food, beverage, service, and overall event execution, working closely with Catering Captains, the Bar Manager, and the Coordination team to ensure events are seamless, elevated, and flawlessly run. The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, detail-driven, service-oriented, and highly organized both on the floor and behind the scenes.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership, Reporting & Collaboration

Report directly to the General Manager and provide regular updates on event operations andstaffing needs.
Work closely with Catering Captains during events to align service flow, staffing, and guest experience.
Partner with the Bar Manager to ensure bar staffing, service standards, and alcohol compliance are upheld.
Collaborate with the Coordination team to execute event timelines and client expectations.

Event Execution & Guest Experience

Lead onsite execution of weddings and events during key moments.
Serve as the primary onsite escalation point for service-related needs during events.
Ensure all event details are executed according to contracts, BEOs, timelines, and venue standards.
Maintain a polished, professional presence and exceptional level of hospitality.

Staff Leadership & Management

Assist in supervising servers, bartenders, and support staff during events.
Conduct pre-shift briefings alongside Catering Captains.
Ensure proper staffing levels, break coverage, and smooth service flow.
Support, mentor, and lead event staff with a hands-on, team-first approach in partnership with the General Manager.

Food & Beverage Oversight

Coordinate with culinary leadership and Catering Captains on timing, service style, and presentation.
Oversee meal service across all service styles to ensure consistency and quality.
Monitor bar service in partnership with the Bar Manager, including responsible service practices.

Coordination, Communication & Administration

Attend and actively participate in weekly team meetings.
Complete and manage event-related paperwork for event staff, including event notes, and post-event documentation.
Communicate proactively with the General Manager regarding operational successes, challenges, and staffing needs.

Operations & Standards

Uphold venue policies, safety standards, and service expectations.
Oversee event setup, cleanliness, and breakdown to venue standards.
Assist with inventory oversight, rentals, and equipment needs as required.

Qualifications

Banquet, event, or hospitality management experience (wedding experience preferred)
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication, organization, and time-management abilities
Ability to remain composed and professional in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment
Knowledge of food and beverage service standards and best practices
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs

Pay: $26.00 per hour
